Gary missed your point,Seeds. However he raised another good point . To interpret The Bible one has to set the various bits of it in their time and place. As I understand that verse and without recourse to AI, it was Paul who said the bit Seeds quoted. He was trying to persuade the Thessalonian folk he was in touch with, not Seeds or Gary or me. Paul was motivated was to take the teachings of Jesus, far beyond Palestine ,to the Gentiles. Paul was not JC despite that he was made a saint.

However, I myself do think Paul's advice to his Thessalonian friends may be generalised to include folk alive in 2025. It's true that the God of whom Paul speaks is 'Karma'. I don't have Paul's faith that 'Karma' is effective.

Once you have published your original Post you have no control over the conversation. Nor should you control the substance of the conversation. If the substance of a post is entirely irrelevant simply ignore it, which is what people normally do in the real world and on online forums.
