There are such things as hallucinations and delusions. Hallucination and delusion conflict with reality. Insanity is a thought or perception that conflicts with reality.
That perception is neither hallucination, nor delusion, and in reality the visible moon is not just a flat disc.
You know the moon is not a flat disc, but this is not because of your analysis of sensory evidence.
You know the moon is not a flat disc, but not because of common sense.
You know the moon is not a flat disc because you learned and accepted second-hand knowledge.
Your reasons for accepting vary, which is not to say illegitimate.
Some early theoretical physicist first made an accurate interpretation of sensory evidence that concluded the flat disc moon is an illusion,
not a delusion, not a hallucination,
an interpretation that time verified with subsequent devices.

Please don't bother to contribute your irrelevant stupidity to this discussion, Walker. There's no need. It's counterproductive.Walker wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2026 9:40 amWhen full, the visible moon appears to be just a flat disc.Gary Childress wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2026 3:37 amReality is not always conflict, and not everyone has hallucinations or delusions, and few, if any, always have hallucinations and delusions. If it exists, there's a need for it.
That's pretty basic, Gary.
You should have picked up on that by now.
Why do you need relevant stupidity?

Bliss is the default that ignorance hides as cleverly as the little delayed x that hides ads.
Barring halitosis, mental illness defining mental healthiness is ironic because like breathing, mental health gets noticed by its absence.
Mental illness is like theoretical socialism placing qualitative judgments upon the proven US Constitution.
Objectively speaking:
Irony … Everything that doesn’t need to exist, doesn’t exist. (Example: functional socialism).
Core Irony … Mental health is noticed by its absence, like breathing. (like fairness, once upon a time).
Conclusion:
Light shines brightest in the dimness.

Re: the core irony of mental health
Apparently, Walker's "common sense" tells him, as of July 2026, that the moon is a flat disc and not a sphere. I guess we really can't rely on common sense to inform us about anything. Or maybe it's more the case that we can't specifically rely on Walker's common sense to inform us about anything. One wonders, and it boggles the imagination.
I give up. The "sane" people like Walker have won. I'll just go to the asylum where I apparently belong.
