Ergo, 'common' can never mean 'what happens here' and so, in fact, this word can't mean anything you want it to mean.
You're arguing against Age, and I like that, but you're not doing it in a good way.
See, just how twisted and distorted 'this one's' views and beliefs are.

LOL When 'this one' claims that 'this or that' is what 'some word 'means, and 'this one' is presented with some thing like, 'But that is not correct', 'this one' then replies with either or both some thing like, 'I am 'the writer' and 'I' can give whatever meaning to whatever word in whatever way I like', and/or, 'The meanings of words are not true and false'.

Which ultimately means that absolutely any one hearing and/or reading "magnus anderson's" words, beliefs, and/or claims, by default, just has to accept and agree with 'them'. Well according to "magnus anderson's logic", anyway.

What do 'you', "magnus anderson", even believe 'it' is, exactly, that 'I' am 'arguing' for, here?

If 'you' believe that someone is 'arguing against' 'me', then 'you' must be 'seeing' and 'believing' that 'I' am 'arguing for' some thing, here.

That's because you're too stupid to see we're not saying the same thing.

And you have yet to answer my question.

You're right. You have no arguments.

Did you really not see and/or not comprehend the difference between 'say just about the exact same thing' from 'saying the same thing'?

But, 'I' have answered 'your question', you are just too closed and thus too blind to see, and recognize.

Did you, really, only just 'now' recognize and see 'this'?

Imagine coming into a 'philosophy forum' of all places, asking the question,
'What does the word "definition" mean?'

Being informed,
'That word, like every word, means whatever you want it to mean'. (Which is, exactly, what you "yourself" had previously claimed is true).

And then, to 'try to deflect', you say and write some thing like,
'I am asking about the common definition though'.

So, in other words, imagine coming into a 'philosophy forum', asking another a question, the other answers and clarifies 'the question' you asked, but then you completely detract 'this' by claiming that you were, actually, asking for something else, entirely, and that 'the other' is so-called 'dodging the question'. Now, imagine how foolish and deceptive you would really be looking 'now', to others.

You have answered exactly 0 out of 2 questions that you've been asked so far. And you want to move forward?

Imagine 'that'.

Image 'it' "thinking" 'this' is an adequate answer to the posed question.

Imagine trying to explain to 'it' how utterly stupid 'it' is for believing 'that'.

Imagine 'that'.

I asked the question. If I tell you that you didn't answer my question, you better believe it. Otherwise, you're undermining the very concept of communication.

And, again you can not see what is before you because you are blinded by your own beliefs, here.

1. you have presented words, here, which I wrote, as though they were yours.

2. If you want to keep expressing your belief that 'my words' are not an adequate, then let 'us' see if you have the courage, and ability, to express what the actual so-called 'adequate answer' is, exactly.

3. I am not thinking what you proposed, here.

4. I am also not believing what you think or believe, here.
