The fake divinity of a man and his single mother

Is there a God? If so, what is She like?

But you aren't intelligent. That's pretty clear. You do realise that anyone can say anything on the internet don't you? It's a bit like those chat rooms you frequent where you pretend to be a 12 year old boy.
You know all things obviously. But I'm not paid enough to lie to you. But with your superior intellect, you knew that. I'm a 70 year old white male MENSA member. Why would I lie about that or anything else? In my experience nearly everything people say is true, but it isn't the truth.

PS Late in life, having gone full atheist just 5 years ago at the age of 65, I'm drinking at the fire hose of philosophy. What brings you here?

PPS You see, I do believe that we can actually all walk naked together and it's OK. It's safe. It's helpful. It's what we're here for.
I need a shower now 🤮
An adventure in missing the point of our vulnerability, brokenness, incompleteness. Our need to embrace each other regardless and because of
mutual repulsion. I've worked with street people and would happily hug huge paranoid schizophrenes, but there was one guy who utterly repelled me in every way. Made my skin crawl. So I hugged him. All that went away.

England is ****ed.
Muslim men do not shake hands with women full stop. As a rule. Which is breaking down here. I never offer to shake hands with a Muslima, but have been pleasantly surprised when they have offered. Is that your superior English?
I had already made that point. I suppose you are fine with that, being a man and all. 'I'm all right Jack' is such a pleasant philosophy to have in life  'Interesting' that they don't find women 'too unclean' to 'touch' in other ways...
ps 'muslima' is supposed to have an 'h' on the end. Odd mistake for someone who 'lives, works, eats, has 'regular group hugs' and 'naked walks' with them :?

You really do shamelessly lay on the virtue signals  You do realise that it has the exact OPPOSITE effect don't you? Surely you take the piss. I do hope so, for the sake of all the poor sods having your hugs forced on them. That's assault.

Meanwhile the 'religion of peace' just massacred Hindus enjoying a holiday with their families. It's on video. Jews in Israel. Christians in Yemen and other countries. Hindus in India. Is there any group that the religion of peace does NOT want to slaughter?
Why is this just accepted (when 'the West' even bothers to report it) while every single Jewish person is expected to be a saint?

Might you try to understand the Islamic concept of jihad?

That, Accelafine, rather demonstrates the only way to escape the accusation of virtue signalling is to not discuss moral issues online. The late Pope was a doer of the Word and there are a lot more doers of the Word who are not in the public eye.

I consider the Jewish account more precise....
If there was a man named Jesus, he was born to a woman who had an affair with a Roman, or was raped by him.....and in order to explain the difference his Aryan appearance, to her fellow Semites, she moved to a town where nobody knew her, and concocted a story about being inseminated by god.

How then did the boy grow up to be such an influential man?

The Roman force of occupation was not made up of "Aryans" . Rome had men from various ethnicities as soldiers . Even Roman governors were not always ethnically Roman although they had to be Roman citizens.

But maybe Pistol told the story as a joke.

And all of those lands are Muslim, invaded, occupied, colonized and otherwise disrupted by foreign forces. All under British auspices.

Which Jewish account? It's not in the non-Lucan gospels or epistles. Since when are Italians Aryan?

With good will to all, his mother was a remarkable young woman in a remarkable extended family of messianic Jewish fanatics. He was even more remarkable, a working class/artisan intellectual, emotional genius, at the crossroads of culture and history.

Does that mean that Christ is God himself? And that his single mother is the "mother of God"?
Gemini AI

The Council of Ephesus in 431 AD declared Theotokos ("God-bearer") as the correct title for Mary, rejecting alternative titles like Christotokos ("Christ-bearer") which were seen as diminishing the divinity of Jesus.
No man is God himself. No woman is the mother of God. These beliefs are simply ridiculous. There is no Holy hominid, just like there is no Holy baboon. Christianity is a laughable concoction of stupidities. It is a religion for idiots.

Well it would and allowably be. But it doesn't mean that, no. At all. I don't know how you get that from my kind rationalization.

If only all of the truly brilliant, kind Christians I have the privilege of knowing were as brilliant and as kind as you.
