Bigotry is considered wrong because it involves deeply entrenched, unreasonable prejudice and hatred towards individuals based on characteristics like race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation, leading to discrimination, harmful stereotypes, and potential violence against the targeted group, causing significant social and psychological harm to its victims
Morality is relative to subjective experience thus there is no universally applied definition of bigotry nor the harm implied from it.
Morality is not fixed, but subject to change.
Typically, bigots hold self-centered and/or simplistic views. Not unlike those in your responses. Of course, for the most part the two go hand-in-hand.
"The mind of a bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract."
Oliver Wendell Holmes
Generalizing people as bigots is a bigoted action.

Since you still don't understand what bigotry is, I'll post the following again:

That is a very close minded approach to things as you are discriminating and creating stereo types against people who have different psychological characteristics than you. What is everyone supposed to do, be exactly as you are and those who are not are bigots?
You seem to enjoy hating people you discriminate and label as bigots, it appears like it gives you a purpose and identity. Good for you, to each his own.

I'll even break the sentence down for you to most pertinent elements since you still can't seem to be able to comprehend the meaning:
"Bigotry... involves deeply entrenched, unreasonable prejudice and hatred towards individuals based on characteristics like race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation..."
Understand what bigotry entails now? Would be difficult to simplify it further for you.

Oh, thank you, now I understand:
You have a "deeply entrenched, unreasonable prejudice and hatred towards individuals" with alternative viewpoints.

Wasn't sure if you are a troll or simply aren't the sharpest knife in the drawer. Hard to believe anyone is actually as dim as you keep making yourself out to be, so I'll go with the former.

There you go again judging others according to a consensus oriented morality which will pass with time.
What I find hilarious about you is how convinced you are that you are moral and ethical and completely overlook that morals and ethics continually change and dissolve by reinterpretation throughout history.
It is almost as if your identity is founded upon something time and circumstance will burn away.
Good for you, you do you and be your potential and go do whatever it is you do so you have a story to convince yourself of an identity you surely need.
You seem offended by bigots, by people who have different values than you.

Without standard definitions there is no conversation. Bigotry is exactly what was presented. Your response to it is your personal morality or ethical system, but bigotry has a definition that must be maintained or we cannot communicate.

What constitutes bigotry is not a fixed standard but is dependent upon changing cultural norms. It is relative.

No. Your ethics/morality may change, but bigotry remains the same. Are you actually trying to say that being a nazi is something that would be ok if cultural norms change? That somehow you'd be less a nazi if there were more people who thought like you?
I am NOT calling you a nazi, btw, just following your argument to the end. It is illogical.
Do any women remain in this discussion? Just curious. I'm trying to track the whole thing and lost the female presence fairly quickly.
A women's perspective, for what it's worth: some women are not worth the time of day--they are shallow, use people, are consumed with greed and fake their competence. Just like any other group of people. That does not change the fact that using that bit of information as a prejudice against all women is sexist.
Other women are strong, capable, reasonable, sexy, loving, liberty-minded, good friends, creative, really fucking smart, etc.
Is it genetic or evolutionary that some women are shitty? I haven't seen any hard evidence that says that is the case, but I guess I'm open to it as a possibility. But regardless of the cause, the existence of such women complicates things for people. It's hard to say, "ALL WOMEN DESERVE X." Because some women deserve only exactly what they give on a personal level. But still, all women deserve equal rights and responsibilities under the law. If a women is, say, a scientist who fakes data, she should be punished in accordance with the rules of that profession. Is it a crime to fake data? It seems like it should be in some cases. What if people died because of your unethical behavior?
If a woman has a legal complaint against someone she deserves the full extent of the law as well.
I do understand and share some of the frustrations of men who fear they might be sexist. I don't consider myself sexist. But I have known maybe even more than my share of shitty women.
Pretending they don't exist doesn't help anything.
