Re: Where is the LEFT taking us...1984
No politician, leader, president, dictator, king, or emperor living today wants to give wage and salary earners any control or say over anything but their own labor.
A country may look like a social democracy but its really just a state welfare capitalism/corporatism wherein a few extremely wealthy people own sectors of economy and cooperate with the government's demands in exchange for being given the right to own the property, factory, company, business, etc. The government essentially exhorts money from the corporations it allows to operate and then gives it back to the chinese and russian people by building them cool shopping malls and giving them free or very reasonable healthcare and stuff. But this is not socialism.

Indeed! They have produced some of the best comedies, some of which even lampoon themselves! Blacks have the bad habit of thinking they were the only enslaved people. Yes well said. Zia Yousef a Muslim that made a huge donation to Reform UK and was given a platform to speak at a Birmingham Reform event made that point and also that Britain enforced a ban on slave trade - many British Navy personnel apparently died facing off with the other European nations that chose to continue with the barbaric trade. I intend to do some research on that..eventually, some time. ...Dubious wrote: ↑Tue Jul 09, 2024 4:49 amIndeed! They have produced some of the best comedies, some of which even lampoon themselves! Define 'the left'. Didn't think so. You should be ashamed of yourself, parroting illiterate, uneducated, shallow, moronic Americans and their simplistic political labels.

I don't consider it in much of a binary way, but I got better things to do...what the AI says sums it up. My concern is the bullshit "progressive liberal" trope that the LEFT attempts to pitch when in fact there are moves afoot to restrict freedom of speech with hate laws, in particular Queer Starmer clearly wants to implement "islamaphobia" laws, thus blasphemy laws are on the way in UK.accelafine wrote: ↑Tue Jul 09, 2024 7:29 am Define 'the left'. - Just in case anyone missed this video, the bloke Starmer is talking to is the Islamic scumbag Sadiq Khan - Mayor of London - Starmer clearly sucking up still to get the Muslim vote by suggesting in a disguised way that blasphemy laws are on the way to protect the special religion of Islam..

Does England completely change whether or not there's a Tory or Labour govt. in power? Of course it doesn't. There are much deeper players in the game of politics.

Of course it did, back when people lived in abject poverty, when there was child labour, public hangings for stealing food when you were starving, if you lost your job or your husband then you died in the workhouse along with your children, when you had to grovel to your 'betters' simply because of an accident of birth...attofishpi wrote: ↑Tue Jul 09, 2024 9:28 amWell, in the good ol' days it apparently did. Society evolves, in case you hadn't noticed, and most of the best ideas to improve people's lives came from the so-called 'left'/enlightenment--call it what you like.
But yeah, it's all fucked up now of course. People have to push and push. They can't help themselves. Without any causes left to fight for (they aren't very bright or brave) they've had to make some up eg. 'transrights'. What are these mystical 'rights' that men in frocks are being denied? What 'human rights' that they have as men do they lose when they don 'womanface'?
I was at the supermarket the other day and the checkout person was a nasty woke man with blue hair, cow nosering (those things are disgusting and make me nauseous), long black-painted nails with some kind of message on them, and a large 'transflag' displayed on his uniform. The only thing missing was his 'preferred pronouns'. Call me old fashioned but I don't go grocery shopping to be bombarded with bullshit political messages by checkout idiots. What happened to having a bit of respect for actual paying customers, or just plain courtesy and professionalism?
I don't give a fuck about his politics and certainly don't need to know. I bet if I had worn a hoodie with 'woman: adult human female' on it I would have been frog-marched out of the store.

This video, with that timestamp, starts in such a confusing and hard to follow place. It's like you don't even want people to know what point you're trying to make.attofishpi wrote: ↑Sat Jul 06, 2024 10:57 am 1984
Illegal and unsafe tweets

Some guy got called by a cop to screen his thoughts - no doubt the comparison to 1984 is relevant, I'm with you there - but why is it so unclear from your link what he tweeted and what the fuck this is all about? I feel like every time you link something, it's so opaque what you're trying to say.
Don't just rely on the video in these cases, spell it out. Write out, in your post, a little narrative of what happened.
