No more or less than the world owes you.
Well, you have life, liberty and property, along with freedom of belief and conscience. That's what the world owes me. So that would mean it owes you nothing more than you've already got.
Funny. I don't remember ever saying the world owed me. Did someone put words in my mouth somewhere?

Apparently, there's some kind of duty I have that I'm shirking, according to you.

I assume that was intended as a criticism of Henry's position, was it not? So you must think there's all kinds of other "duties" that Henry is overlooking, there. I just wanted to know what you thought they were.
So the person who opened his mouth on the subject was...you.
Does the word "owe" appear in what I said, oh great swammi?

No. But the term "duty to society" does, which implies "owed to society"...so you must think that the individual has some such duty or "owing", and it must be some you think Henry is failing to recognize.
So what is it?
Is "duty" owed or is it something a person does without "owing" it?
You implied that the individual has "duties" to society. It was your word. I'm just asking you to fill out what you meant.

So: what's my duty?
It was an unfair comment. If we have no duty to society, then we have no duty to society or anyone else, for that matter.
