Well, that didn't seem to change my view on things. Perhaps, a veiled (or overt) threat of eternal damnation, poison spiders crawling up my legs, or stretching me on a rack like the Church did during the Inquisition might help me see the light?

Leaving aside for now your more pedagogical assessments of Christianity...God and religion...how do you connect the dots existentially between the behaviors you choose on this side of the grave and what you imagine the fate of mere mortals to be on the other side?

Is there anything in the vicinity of a God, the God in your current frame of mind? How about Judgment Day? Immortality? Salvation? Moral Commandments? Sins?

And how do you anticipate things like race and ethnicity and sexual orientation factor into it?

And if you were really, really pressed to actually demonstrate empirically, experientially, experimentally, etc., that what you believe "in your head" is in fact true, how would you go about that?

In that "email course", of yours?

In fact, whenever I think of options like that I think of things like Scientology, NXIVM, the ARI, etc. Get enlightened by purchasing it from them.

Well in that case, it seems that plastic could well be the very substance that will thoroughly clean the planet for good, with no chance of becoming dirtied ever again.

Some of us don't believe in all powerful beings that bring the universe into existence just by thinking about it. Some of us don't believe that there is an essence of ourself that is somehow independent of the physical body and goes on to live for eternity after death. Some of us don't believe that nature gives us property rights, or even a right to life. Some of us don't want to join sycophantic congregations of worshippers, and take part in strange rituals. This makes us nut jobs?
