Re: WE NEED MORE GUNS..
So is playing pin the tail on the donkey fun?
I know what fun is, and is why I have a tendency to want to choose harmless fun, I simply don't think there is any harm in a bit of harmless fun.
Re: WE NEED MORE GUNS..
Maybe I'm unable to see the big picture because I've never been in a situation where having a gun would have been remotely useful, and nor do I personally know anyone else who has. My attitude has probably also been conditioned by living in a country whose citizens are certainly not allowed to own guns for personal protection, and I have to say that I hope it forever remains so.
How often has your wife had to defend herself with a gun, against rape? How difficult do you think it should be for my wife to defend herself from three men trying to rape her?

We've done the experiment already, dumbass.attofishpi wrote: ↑Wed May 10, 2023 11:04 am ..and therein you are the winner for the year so far of the most stupidest most irrational twat on the forum...well done.![]()

"Long-term homicide rates across Western Europe 1250 to 2020"
Oooo nooo - 70 people per 100,000 people died (nothing to do with guns btw) back when everyone was a kunt (wars not homicide) to present.
Now Skeppy put things into TRUE stat perspective...provide a graph of the USA deaths by guns since 1700 to present in relation to percentage of guns per population for those years.
Re: WE NEED MORE GUNS..
Amazing, you have to make this illustration.attofishpi wrote: ↑Wed May 10, 2023 10:52 amOk Skeppy.
There is playground A and playground B. Both playgrounds are for 10 year old kids and they spend a year in their allotted play area.
Which out of playground A or B is likely to have more deaths?
Playground A has no guns. Playground B has every type of gun available to the kids within the playground.
Over the year Skeppy, indeed the years that these playground setups exist, which of A or B is going to have the most murders?
I doubt he'll get it.
Re: WE NEED MORE GUNS..
I've never needed and gun, nor have to been in any situation where the use, thread or suggestion of one would have been a good idea.Harbal wrote: ↑Wed May 10, 2023 11:13 amMaybe I'm unable to see the big picture because I've never been in a situation where having a gun would have been remotely useful, and nor do I personally know anyone else who has. I suppose that is because I live in a country where people sort out problems without guns.
DO you suppose skeppy is a bit scardy?
Re: WE NEED MORE GUNS..
I could understand some Americans thinking of owning a gun as a necessary evil, but many of them seem to have a passionate, almost sexual, attachment to them. It comes across as more than a little perverse.Sculptor wrote: ↑Wed May 10, 2023 11:34 am

Re: WE NEED MORE GUNS..
Being born to a world where one is forced to defend itself against our own self-inflicted predatory nature will only mean the need to use more and more powerful weapons as a way of protecting ourselves against ourselves, the gun just being one example, the nuclear bomb being another. How difficult do you think it should be for my wife to defend herself from three men trying to rape her?
Yeah, it seems like a really fun game to play, having to protect ourselves against ourselves. Have you got any new solutions for this need to protect ourselves from ourselves?
.
Re: WE NEED MORE GUNS..
Then you don't understand the history of guns and why people invented them in the first place.Harbal wrote: ↑Wed May 10, 2023 11:13 am Maybe I'm unable to see the big picture because I've never been in a situation where having a gun would have been remotely useful, and nor do I personally know anyone else who has. It lowers the barrier to entry for people who are otherwise incapable of violence.
A world a 20 year old can overpower a 60 year old with their bare hands is not fair on 60 year olds.
Mine? Never. Hopefully it stays that way.
How do you empower your women to defend themselves against physically stronger men?

Re: WE NEED MORE GUNS..
So it enables weak people to be violent.
..ah hang on isn't that what happened in ALL the USA school shootings.
Re: WE NEED MORE GUNS..
Precisely the objective.
My wife has better things to do than spend time at the gym or the dojo becoming a proffessional fighter.

Sure, she's gotta work out how to put up being married to an idiot for 1 thing.Skepdick wrote: ↑Wed May 10, 2023 12:03 pmPrecisely the objective.

Oh that's a relief ....ok so long as weak people from school such as what happened in ALL the USA school shootings where hundreds of innocent children have been killed by these weak pathetic twats are ignored. (so that your wife has time to be an idiot fighter)

There are MORE guns in Europe in 2023 than there were in 1923.
There are MORE guns in Europe in 1923 than there were in 1823.
There are MORE guns in Europe in 1823 than there were in 1723.
There are MORE guns in Europe in 1723 than there were in 1623.
If MORE guns == MORE murder - why is the murder rate going DOWN?

Re: WE NEED MORE GUNS..
As a 68 year old, I suddenly feel incredibly lucky to be getting away with not carrying a gun as a precaution against violent, rampaging twenty year olds.Skepdick wrote: ↑Wed May 10, 2023 11:53 amThen you don't understand the history of guns and why people invented them in the first place.Harbal wrote: ↑Wed May 10, 2023 11:13 am Maybe I'm unable to see the big picture because I've never been in a situation where having a gun would have been remotely useful, and nor do I personally know anyone else who has. We have laws and a police force, which also protects me and anyone else from physically stronger men. I can anticipate your response to that, but that's just the way it is in a civilised society. Just to add: none of my women have expressed any desire to carry a gun.How do you empower your women to defend themselves against physically stronger men?
