Is there a God? If so, what is She like?

Welcome to this first episode of - "Oh the Irony" - brought to you by the makers of Remington rifles.

< cue the organ music...

In this initial episode of - "Oh the Irony" - we are listening to the unborn Swanson twins, telepathically communicating with each other while still in their mother's womb:
  • Twin one: "I wonder what mom looks like?"

Twin two: "What mom? I don't see any mom around here."

Twin one: "But I can somehow sense her presence."

Twin Two: "That's just your imagination playing tricks on you. There is no mom."

    Twin one: "But..."

Twin two: "There are no buts about it. The only things that exist are the two of us, this watery substance, and that impenetrable barrier that surrounds us. So, tell me, genius, where is this mom you speak of? Prove her existence to me."

Twin one: "How can I prove her existence to you?"

Twin two: "If this imaginary "mom" truly exists, then why doesn't she reveal herself to us?"

Twin one: "I don't know why. Perhaps she has a good reason?"

Twin two: "You're insane. Again, there is no mom. Trust me because I am way smarter than you because I rely on the obvious truth and facts."

Twin one: "Well, can we at least agree to disagree?"

Twin two: "No! You are clearly a victim of wishful thinking. Again, trust me when I say - there is no mom!!!"
Tune in tomorrow for another exciting episode of - "Oh the Irony" - brought to you by the makers of Tide laundry detergent ("...for those pesky blood stains..."), and Schlitz beer...

Twin 1: Do you think you can survive the revelation process, where all you know, changes?
He/she (twin 2) has no choice.

Probably because at that stage of human development, it can ask questions but not wonder, which implies within the framework of this situation that the mechanical begins developing before the wonderment, like a child must learn its letters before it can transcend the letters, or like a questioner must learn the interrogative methods before it can understand the appropriate supposition relevant to the unknown.

God has no image. To know what God looks like, would make God a conceptually known object apart from the knower.

Every WORD / object ....is conceptually known as an IDEA in Consciousness that cannot be known, or seen.

Asking the question 'what does God look like' ? can only arise when there is a sense of 'separate self' which is illusory, because the 'sense of self' is a word, it's the 'thought' ( I ) which has no image either.

Consciousness cannot be seen, it has no image, it's like empty space, it's like asking what 'empty space' looks like.

Images are all of the imageless, and this imageless is all images.

These words are pointing to a reality that can/not be known, can/not be seen, in this immediate unknowing, this not-knowing.

So what does the bible say about it.

God is a spirit (John 4:24), and so His appearance is not like anything we can describe. Exodus 33:20 tells us, “You cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.” In other words, there is no room in here for the two of us.

See, similar to what nonduality is saying...there is no image of a conceptually known object, ie a 'thought' Why, because all images are the seen, they are the LOOKED UPON... by the only seeing/knowing there is, which is Consciousness, imageless, like empty space.

Knowledge can only point to the illusory nature of reality.

Many authors appear, but there is only one reader, reading writing/story no one ever writ.

That can never be known since god as creator exists in the smallest particles where all power at its most fundamental resides. There exists no duality in that instant where power remains singular and compressed.

Love and hate you buddy.

My conclusion.
Poorly and illogically expressed views and language for a valid and logical view.
A worthy student that has yet to learn to teach.

You are not ready for a good interlocutor and are stalled in your linguistic mind set.

Partly true.

Unique DNA program, yes, but we are also molded by everyone we interact with.

Who do you thank or blame for you being you at this second. That aside.

We are all in this together, alone. Our evolution demands that black sheep be venerated.

We are all and should all wan t to be black sheep. That is how we show our fitness over others.

Knowledge can only point to the illusory nature of supernatural reality some believe exists without evidence, even as I see a logic trail, which you poorly show.

If that realm exists, it is denying us proof of it's reality.

Now why would your God do that?

IDK.

There are two ways to look at the notion of a God creating light of both the physical realm and the spiritual, Guiding Light, type of thinking.

Physically, dark and empty space must be there to be penetrated by light before light can show a reality.

At the micro levels, the rainbows color bands, if seen as beads, have a black bead on each side.

Spiritually or at our souls level; as Jesus indicates, we all get to retire God and become our own judges, and I see no reason not to do that while living if the God in question is the vile Christian God that is way different than what he started out being.

He was the best around before stupid supernatural beliefs.

God requires neither will nor intent to create and thus thoroughly bereft of any spirituality. That only develops through consciousness and not the single mandate which is God Incipient requiring no consciousness at all. God is a Will which excludes all other possibilities and thus Will-Less except to function without goal, intent, or self-awareness. It is the default prior to everything which comes after, i.e., in infinitesimally tiny particles which assemble themselves into all the structures we see and don't see...including ourselves and everything we imagine.

Ok thanks for the conclusion.

Another conclusion: Non-duality is not even a concept. Every teaching or scripture is nothing but a concept. And a concept is not the Truth. But there can be no communication without concepts. Hence, concepts are used to deliver the non-truth of truth.

The Truth is the unchanging subject that YOU are. No 'thought' or 'concept' can tell you 'YOU ARE' as that realsisation is directly self-evident as and through experience.

Very Good so far...👍

But in this particular 'thought' ie: the thought about God's image....

Can what is 'one without a second' ( singular ) be known? Yes, it can be known, but only in knowing 'What You Are Not' as in, an image known. Why, because all images are constantly changing. But what you are, is fundamentally 'imageless knowing' of all illusory changing images.

If you were the mind, would you know that mind exists? Yes, but only when you are first known to be an unchanging subject, knowing changing objects/concepts as and through their abstractive conception.

The enlightened non-dualist says, “Whenever I am, I be peerless.”

The enlightened dualist says, “Humans are peers of one another.”

You have facts on a God, somehow.

There is no way I can match your personal knowledge and experience of God even with my own apotheosis.

I concede.
