How many have really contemplated the relationship between facts and values? When we admit hat we don't have an appreciation for the relationship between legal and illegal acts in the cause of liberty how can we be expected to discriminate between the concepts of facts and values? Yet it should be an important part of philosophy as the love of wisdom.
From Einstein’s essay “Science and religion,” published in 1954. “Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind.”. This quote is often used to show both Einstein’s religiosity and his belief in the compatibility—indeed, the mutual interdependence—of science and religion.
Of course Einstein got it. Simone got it. They are in the minority. The result is that we are governed by the lame and the blind which is called progress. Might makes right" will become the inevitable result.

Henry, you think you are a Libertarian, but i susspect you are a Republican.

knowing of your posts prior, i suspect you affirm capital punishment. (so fine with The State playing God and ending life after courts ruling).

if so you are no Libartrian!

The State must have low levels of power, so if you affirm the State acting as God, then you are no libertarian!

"i suspect you affirm capital punishment."

Nope, and I can't imagine how you'd come up with such an asinine assessment.

What I favor is good old fashioned revenge (take my shit; I shoot you in the ass...threaten my kid; I beat you with a baseball bat...kill mine; I kill you).

so you oppose Capital Punishment? - the State having the power of God?

if so, then dissregard my post in the "politics" thread - where i attributed wrongly my view of your views.

seeing you read my posts with emmanel, you know that i too affirm reciprocity (as a personal reply - not legal one).

i affirm reciprocity fully as right and moral - as long as i did not "start it".
