Of course it is! Never economic or political oppression, imperialism, nation-destroying, homelessness, hunger and stress.
And 10% to 15% of the population is always going to be mentally ill.
Really? Was it always as high a percent as that? Is it caused by anything in particular or genetic or just in the water, or what? And you're sure there will never be a cure? Therefore, some mentally ill people will always be in positions of authority and power. Bien. And it's still not a good idea to make firearms a little harder to get?
So there is simply no solution.
Lie down in neat rows to save the undertaker extra work.
This shooter may have saved someone from getting AIDS in the near future so there is a slight silver lining to this cloud. But only slight.
Congratulations on spotting it!
He has also given guns a bad name
And, heaven knows, the the last thing guns need is a stain on their pristine reputation!
and Hillary may use this to try to get more gun legislation at the Federal level.

Every cloud always has its silver lining.

And every silver lining has its cloud.

It could have been much worse -- the shooter targeting a school with children would have been much worse.

Sandy Hook was much worse even though fewer children died.

Columbine was much worse as well for the same reason.

Children are innocent and they expect us to protect them until they are at least old enough to protect themselves.

When children die all of society has failed them.

When gays and lesbo's die at a gay/lesbo night club after midnight that is sad too -- the hate is sad -- but they took that chance when they went out and stayed out late.

Early to bed and early to rise keeps you alive in many cases like this one.

2 a.m. is a bit late to be out on the town. There are all sorts of wacko's and criminals out and about at that witching hour.

There also seems to be a heightened shift in awareness and conversations... as if many people are already evolving in preparation for the world ahead, while others are ratcheting themselves up for self-destruction. I think America needs a toxic cleansing -- and it will likely never be the same afterward, nor would people want it to be. Personally, I would prefer one world of provinces/territories. The clash and manipulation of countries seems sick to me.
Even Yios's response shows how entrenched anti-regulation supporters are in their position. No event will ever be extreme enough to change their position. 10, 100, 1,000, 10,000 - it doesn't matter. The problem is never having dangerous weapons freely available so that every dumb, two-bit malcontent can get his fifteen minutes of fame. It's always the fact that dumb, two-bit malcontents exist and "hey ho, that's life". Yet the existence of such crazy people is exactly why regulation would help. If everyone was sane and decent, regulation wouldn't help.

I'm quite surprised at how the nation fell apart after 9/11. I always thought the US had a chance to switch to solar and cut off the terrorist's funding at the source, gain moral high ground and help the environment too. But Murdoch (with an oil sheik major shareholder and his own oil investments) and the crowd wanted revenge, and GWB had a family's oil legacy to consider. No one seemed to talk much about the obvious conflicts of interest.

What conflict of interest?
Have you any idea how much freakin' $$$$ was made on that invasion, and the other invasion and the contractors and the 'reconstruction' and the homeland security and all the electronics for more security and the ten new intelligence agencies and the extra surveillence and R&D the armaments that were used in that invasion and that other invasion and the next invasion and armaments that were sold to the enemies and their enemies and our friends and their friends and their enemies?

That's okay. Nobody has. It's too much to count.

Have you any idea how much profit there is in selling guns & ammo & cool hardass-gear to all the whack-jobs in America who either have it in for some group or will have it in for somebody sometimes soon, and arming all the police forces to fight all the doorknobs, present and future? Lots.

Of course, Yio. Clearly it was their fault for staying out late and having fun. And clearly it is curfews that will save the US, not gun control. How do gun ownership rights trump basic freedoms such as that of movement, for everyone else? You'd seriously curb someone's ability to go out at night, so someone can own a gun?

But it's good to know you have a pecking order of those who need to be shot first. I wonder where I fit into your list?

American children who are foolish enough to go to school in such a gun-happy country of nut-jobs are only asking for trouble.

Gun happiness makes the USA, Switzerland, and Israel equally the arsenal of democracy.

The rest of the slaves in the world depend on us to come save them when a bad guy like Adolf, Tojo, or now Putin comes calling on them.

"Having fun" are code words used all day today for having illicit sex.

There is absolutely no excuse for being out that late for any reason.

However more important than making a profit selling guns and ammo is protecting Freedom.

Guns ensure freedom.

No guns no freedom.

Are you fucking serious!? Put me on your block list, before I have a chance to tell you what an absolute twat you are being.

I have more right to go out late at night and fuck, than you do to have a gun. I don't even require a license for it, unless you got your way.

"Regulation" does absolutely NO good.

The genie is already out of the bottle.

The genie is not going back in.

When the Italian Cei-Rigotti introduce the first assault rifle in 1900 there was no turning back after that.

It replaced the Winchester repeating rifle.

That's very easy for you to say sitting on your island in the North Sea ... or your island in the South Pacific.

I can't tell exactly where your accent is from but it seems like one of those.

Weather patterns are not caused by 'late night "iniquity"'. Just block me. Don't make me beg.
