I'm disappointed in your bullshit answer, Hex... but over the period I've been attempting to converse with you it has been increasingly clear that you are an asshole who is only running around these boards in a troll-like fashion to prove to yourself that you are a rebel. wow... how wonderful. I see your snarly smile of self-satisfaction widening on your face as you read this.
It's time to repost what started this thread in the first place -
philosophy ultimately leads to no answers but many unspoken questions. why? because we take the intellectual approach to realization, when those paths are but diversions from the ultimate causation of being. philosophy has the intellectual possibilities of mental exercise, but the essence of our true being must transcend the intellect and into the realm of mystery, the profound mystery of existence, the metaphysical realms and beyond...beyond the persistent questioning of mind.
Your constant barrage of questions proves that ultimately there is no answer that will satisfy your "hungry mind" that is unable to find that special something that will curb your insatiable appetite for asking questions after question after question. Sure philosophy can keep feeding your hunger by supplying you answers after answers after answers but eventually, Hex, you will have to take responsibility to digest some of these answers as you would a meal and let the answer absorb into your head like nutrients and see how they either help or hurt your mind.
If you truly believe that science is the end-all of all questions... that science has the pat answers that end questions, please, go right ahead and become more absorbed into the subject, surrender yourself to this science by foregoing any depth of philosophy and get back to me how your life is doing. I'll be around here, often behind the shadows, observing, digesting and giving others words a chance to improve my being.
Please don't think I (or the other responders) are here to satisfy your quest for answers. You'll not find anyone, anywhere, who can give you all the answers you desire... especially by eschewing philosophical conversations of any subject.
Now away with you, lad, away...! I've spent far too much time with you. It's time for you to learn the wisdom of asking yourself the questions that very Self has the answers you are foolishly looking for outside of your own being.
