Can it? How? As from a personal point of view this event is not over until death.Bill Wiltrack wrote:.

You're still not answering the question of what you mean by an event?
You distinguish yourself from yourself?
We, as active, practicing philosophers, can, at times, observe the observer of the events that unfold.
Nah! That'd involve you in actually philosophising. All you're doing is gunuing....apologies to you for bringing-up actual philosophy stuff.

Hey! Come here you.
....................................
...Gave you a definition for the word event.
Don't get hung-up on it.
Self-consciousness. This is a philosophical concept that works to distinguish body functions from states of being.
Again, my apologies to you for putting forth actual philosophical concepts instead of incessantly attacking fellow members.

And yet I asked you for your definition of such a thing. All you did was link me to a wiki page which I'm betting you didn't understand.Bill Wiltrack wrote:...

You old hippie you. Given this is a philosophy forum I think I'll hang myself as much as I like when it comes to asking others to say what they mean by the terms they trot out in an attempt to be a gnu.Don't get hung-up on it.
And yet in Philosophy such a concept is much disputed. What do you mean by a 'state of being'? Or 'being' even? Or for that matter 'body functions'? How do you relate them? In Philosophy 'self-consciousness' means being aware that one is aware.Self-consciousness. This is a philosophical concept that works to distinguish body functions from states of being.
You're not putting forth philosophical concepts tho' are you. You're just trotting out vague undefined phrases that you think have meaning when in reality they're just the stock in trade of the mystical gnu looking for acolytes.
Again, my apologies to you for putting forth actual philosophical concepts instead of incessantly attacking fellow members..

I accept and use the definition of event that I put forward, defined & repeated.
I meant the Wiki version. The clear, widely accepted version that I used.
Don't get hung-up on it.
...I hope one day that you find a love for philosophy. A love beyond words.
A love that would seek real philosophy.
...but I wish that for all of me.

And yet you yak on and on and on?...I hope one day that you find a love for philosophy. A love beyond words.
Already there thanks.A love that would seek real philosophy.
It's all me, me, me, with you isn't Bill....but I wish that for all of me.
Stop wishing and start acting. Sit down and ask yourself, "What do I want?" and "How will I know when I've got it?".

When I said me, I meant you.
You are a part of my reality now.
So, I wish the best for you.
...which, again, means me.
