What do you love and thus; What shall kill you?

I'll start. For me:

Your turn. What do you love? What shall kill you?

"Love" that kills for me are to be avoided. "Love" that makes you live more, however, is what's my taste.

"Love" that kills is like a Medusa, or the Whore of Babylon Harlet type figure who kills whomever consumes Her. It's a drink that can gives you all of the pleasures you desire while it lasts, and then it suffocates and kills because it's an addiction that sucks all of your will until you are turned to dust and flown into the air of forgetfulness.

Real Love is the spiritual love and bonding that connects you to others, which gives you a purpose by revitalizing your will to live and gives you the peace that's truly needed, which what makes you live fuller. Now that's the Love that I want!

...perhaps you need to love harder, or deeper. I can easily see how each one of your interests could turn into true love.

Well, I guess John Lennon was right when he said, "All you need it Love".

Let it drain from you your all. Let it cling onto your back and weigh you down into eventual nothingness….

Let it kill you, and let it devour your remains.

For all things will kill you, both slowly and fastly, but it’s much better to be killed by a lover.

Falsely yours,

~~~ Henry Charles Bukowski ~~~
My kids, partner and friends.
Smoking, although from the stats more likely a heart-attack but either way dying will be what kills me.
LOVE the writings by P. D. Ouspensky.
...just can't follow them anymore.
It's like I have to lead now. God knows I would like to follow but I can't.
I've pretty-much been doing my own thing the last couple of years. I've documented my path here at the Philosophy Now Forums.
And you? What are you experiencing in the way of your philosophical life?
Don't think you ever have.
Big of you and apparently you are leading away from Ouspensky.
Seen it, involves a lot of vomiting, drug taking and passing-out on the floor if I remember right.
And you? What are you experiencing in the way of your philosophical life?
[/size]
My life is philosophical, its not a separate process. So all the usual, surviving, births, deaths, laughter, tears, joy, thinking, reading, writing, working, et al.
Are you practicing a philosophical dicipline or are you just noting events as they unfold?
No, I'm living a philosophical discipline. How do you define an event?
I understand event logics, I doubt you do. Linking to a wiki page you don't understand is not what I asked of you.
So Bill, how do you define these events that should not just be noted?
Er...um...ah...no.
