Why Are We Here?

Should you think about your duty, or about the consequences of your actions? Or should you concentrate on becoming a good person?

Why Are We Here?

One of the most essential questions
facing not only philosophers but every being on earth.

Does anyone have an ultimate answer?

Are our individual working, perhaps unspoken, recognition of a personal answer allow us to move forward within a micro-framework?

Nope, its what are we here for?
Does anyone have an ultimate answer?
No. Stop searching for ultimate answers or go back to your faith.

Can you say this in English?

You are right. Definitely NOT a well structured sentence.

How about:

Does our individual working answers to the question, Why are we here? allow us to move forward within our lives?

Or do we even need an ultimate answer?

Don't know, what do you think?
Or do we even need an ultimate answer?
I don't, what do you think?

I appreciate you answering the questions to the best of your ability.

In a strange way, I think your ignorance has proven a point and actually answered a question to the fellow philosopher-members who are viewing this thread.

Perhaps I have stated before, when I create a thread that asks a question I appreciate and look for fellow members to give their best answer.

Thank you for participating.

False dilemma. People stuck in the past as if that's all there is. I see shunted growth. Our history of knowledge and thus our future is steeped in the search for the ultimate answers. Can you say, "theory of everything," Stephen Hawking can.

What ignorance? I said "don't know" because your statement still makes little sense in English?

What was ignorant about saying that I don't seek ultimate answers for why I'm here?

In both cases I asked you what you think and as usual you've not replied.

Oh! And I think your replies often show clearly what a mean little mind you have despite the platitudes you add to cover it and some of our fellow-members are beginning to note it.
Perhaps I have stated before, when I create a thread that asks a question I appreciate and look for fellow members to give their best answer.
And yet you never accept their answers as you have a little agenda all of your own.
Thank you for participating.

Fair enough, if you seek ultimate answers become a physicist, else go back to your lost faith.

Oh! And Hawking can't as so far there is no TOE and they're beginning to think that the only one they'll get is a composite of various theories but no ultimate one.

I don't have to become a physicist, I have no lost faith. I have/am nothing, yet I have/am everything.

False argument, we were talking of "searching," who said anything about "finding."
See what I mean, this method of deleting previous messages, leaves you wanting, or you'll change things, so as to believe you've been victorious, either way...
As to the topic, we are here because, we are the, thus far, end result of what the universe is.

Edit:

In finding why the universe is, in it's entirety, we find the universal/absolute of why we are here, as they are one in the same.

Why are we here...
Says you suggests direction .
We are here for its goal. This is reason.

I agree.

What reason that is . Is our purpose.
[our purpose. is to find our purpose]

That's called thinking.

Answers are easy, mostly wrong, but some will even allow you to move on with your life.

Correct answers are a lot more difficult and rare, If you find one let me know.

Again I was unclear, I did not mean you had a lost faith as I was talking to Bill. All I did was rewrite what I said to him in light of your comment.
False argument, we were talking of "searching," who said anything about "finding."
Sounds a fruitless task then.
See what I mean, this method of deleting previous messages, leaves you wanting, or you'll change things, so as to believe you've been victorious, either way...
No I don't see what you mean as I can trace back to see whats said. The only one looking for 'victory' appears to be you.
As to the topic, we are here because, we are the, thus far, end result of what the universe is.
Touch anthropomorphic and arrogant I think.
In finding why the universe is, in it's entirety, we find the universal/absolute of why we are here, as they are one in the same.
At best we can find how the universe is I think. The answer to the question 'Why are we here?' is 'Why or what am I here for?' or 'What do I want?'
