Is this a philosopher

Should you think about your duty, or about the consequences of your actions? Or should you concentrate on becoming a good person?

There is no dish without some work by the cook. So far all you've served us amounts to the front page of an otherwise blank menu.

I despair, is there no one here bright enough to see how do use the ingredients I have lovingly set before them

Very well then, would you be taught freedom by men from the cage?

Couple of questions come too mind.

Who better? Their enslavers?

What happens if this cage has no outside?

This cage is the cage that is freely chosen by so many freemen, to work for the company, the corperation or any other dehumanising organisation

But if this is causeing a problem then ask; would ye be taught ethics by men shielded from the harshness and challenges of life?

Few philosophers from the past have worked for "the corporation". In fact I can't name a single one. Do you think this is a perennial problem with recognised philosophers?

Or have you changed the subject?

the "corporation" changes its name every few years... the church, democracy, marxists, progressives...

Please note 'or any other dehumanising organisation. And since Kant philosophers have largely been members of universities.

Pierce is an obvious exception
