the statistical probability of trivial realism

If you can ask a stranger for directions to a place you have never been, and get there, there are only a three possibilities: a) the universe is basically the way it appears to be ( null hypothesis, trivial realism ), b) you are being fooled by an outside source, or c) your subconscious is privy to vastly more information than your conscious mind. Many believe the latter but without evidence only the former is rational to believe.
