I am versus I am that.

Post by Phil8659 »

There is a curious Biblical statement which confuses people, and it involves the distinction between I am and I am that.

I am, is indicative of awareness, it denotes a single thing. Where, I am a philosopher, I am a human, I am a father, or mother, boy or girl, denotes many things, i.e., two types of identity, Arithmetic, and Geometric. When one denotes themselves Arithmetically, there is clarity, when one is always changing what they are, it denotes ambivalence and confusion.

Thee are two types of identity, the Arithmetic, or literal, and the Geometric, Metaphorical, which means that many so called scientific equations are only half truths, for they do not clearly distinguish which type of identity is being used. For example, the fact that one can write using either one predominately, such as the Bible, predominately metaphorical, simple minded people demand that only Arithmetic equalities are valid, yet they use metaphorical equalities in reference to themselves all the time.

I am is a verb.

I am that… is a first person singular pronoun.

Both are identical. Not in opposition.

Thank you for for your display of illiteracy. Review again, what are the two types of equality, and try again, instead of parroting nonsense.

But I love parroting nonsense, it’s the only sense I understand. 🤷‍♀️

Two types of equality are equal to each other. Meaning the two are identical.
