Will another world war ever go nuclear.

Or will nuclear weapons serve mainly as a deterrent to keep humans from totally obliterating and annihilating themselves.

No government will ever authorize the first-use of nuclear weapons. It's only when the government is assured of the utter destruction of the country it governs that it will authorize use of nuclear weapons.

The statement above suggests nukes will only be deployed for actual use when the human mind goes mad max. And in that worse case scenario, are humans even deserving of this planet anymore? No other animal on earth is plotting to destroy the planet they inhabit. Only humans are dumb, not animals.

I don't know. Maybe that's why cancer is so prevalent in modern society. In any case, it can't be a good thing. And with thousands of nuclear warheads in the world, can we really expect only one to drop? Or that there won't be retaliation somewhere down the road, if not immediately?

Relax. Mankind will never destroy itself because it's too clever and crafty. There may be a breakdown in law and order and bombs dropping everywhere, but that'll just reduce the population at worst.

Here's the thing... but you won't comprehende unless you are a historical materialist. The entire history and every possible future of/for the human species is gonna involve some kind of class warfare and battle over property rights. That's all it can be about and all it ever was about.

During this endless conflict, there is a failsafe that keeps the ball rolling and doesn't allow the wealthy to destroy the world or the wage worker because the wealthy can't survive without em. Iran is currently showing quite a bit of self-restraint. Maybe a bit too much to my own taste. Israeli airplanes are still able to take off and land.

I would not allow that any longer.

If you use ballistic missiles to carpet bomb an air base with cluster munitions, you do not just destroy it, but you also thoroughly contaminate it with unexploded ordinance, effectively covering it in landmines. It takes 6 months to two years to clean up the resulting mess.

Iran is clearly capable of doing that. So, why don't they just do it? I would have done it already.

So, in the days when this is written, human beings thought is was smart or intelligent to use obliterating and annihilating weapons, as the 'main deterrent' to keep "themselves" from totally obliterating and annihilating "themselves".

Besides the obvious Fact that a species could never ever be 'less intelligent', and thus be 'more stupid', one could have easily imagined that just 'using intelligence', itself, would be a much smarter, or more intelligent, way of NOT obliterating and annihilating "one's" 'self'.

But, as a species that holds 'an ability' to become Truly Intelligent 'stupid mistakes', along the way, are not to be unexpected.

Some do wonder how a relatively very few human beings flew 'make shift planes' very simply and easily into an area were even rockets and bombs can not penetrate?

Also, it could seem like when 'others' are not 'trying to' bomb the area known as "israel", which is relatively extremely shielded, then it is "israel" that first attacks 'the others', to provoke 'revenge attacks'.

But, then again, obviously, others 'see' things completely differently.
