Re: BRICS
More African countries seek BRICS membership
What will happen to the US as more countries abandon the dollar?

Re: BRICS
What Trump did on "Liberation Day" was not well received across the globe. Trump may think that he can single out just China for his trade war, but everybody can see through what he is really doing. Therefore, the idea of cooperating with Trump on any trade agreement, is simply unsalable to every home audience on the globe. The government must be seen to stand up to him and not to budge one inch. Politically, they cannot afford to be seen to be getting along with Trump. This even applies to countries like Mexico and Canada. For example, the Canadian government cannot be seen to be on good terms with Trump or to agree with him on anything. That would be political suicide. That would be a career-ending mistake.

Hopefully, when Trump is out of office, the political parties will offer rational candidates to vote for and things will return to some semblance of sanity. Trump is a loose cannon, doing whatever he personally wants but not necessarily the will of rational people.godelian wrote: ↑Mon May 05, 2025 5:39 pm What Trump did on "Liberation Day" was not well received across the globe.
