The PHILOSOPHY of frozen VODKA
It happens...as I have found out over the past 24hrs
Bacardi - not freezing. Perhaps shit VODKA, not quite up to specs on alcohol vol - it was the cheap stuff me n toad that lives here bought v cheap
...honestly tho, this freezer is super cold - i like - got glasses in there freeze in mins, but I can't relinquish the thermostat cos it runs the fridge, and that could be a tad cooler imo
..back to the question...
Has anyone had VODKA freeze in da freezer!!!?

filling glass bottles with liquid (no room for expansion,) sealing them and then freezing them could create an interesting explosion...

Well, that's never happened to me in all my years of putting vodka/bacardi in the fridge. Beer however, when I forget to get them out of the fridge - they tend to start frothing out of the cap seal.Impenitent wrote: ↑Mon Apr 07, 2025 1:37 pm filling glass bottles with liquid (no room for expansion,) sealing them and then freezing them could create an interesting explosion...

Vodka freezes at -10F, home freezers only go down to 0F.

During the Vietnam war, we could get an Imperial Quart of Vodka for $1.05. So, vodka and coke while clubbing. However, in Thailand, at that time, we only had those itty bitty fridges, which are certainly not capable of freezing it. The ambient temperature there could, and did melt the wiring of a plane as our AC130 gunships if you actually closed all the doors on them. Several had to be rewired when that mistake was made.Impenitent wrote: ↑Mon Apr 07, 2025 1:37 pm filling glass bottles with liquid (no room for expansion,) sealing them and then freezing them could create an interesting explosion...

I was an electronic sensor systems tech. then. But, what was interesting, more so than frozen shots, was that we used liquid nitrogen to cool the equipment I worked on. You could drop some of that on the tarmac, and a bead of it would chase down one of those large ants, no matter which way it tried to run from it, and when it hit, froze it solid.
I even used some of it to make the side of my hand harder for busting boards. Martial Arts was a biggy there, Brue Lee became a national holiday there when I was there and he died.

Re: The PHILOSOPHY of frozen VODKA
It's 9am, just got home for SIN city. I had a drink fest at my condo last night and I am finding something rather funny.
I was making mainly the girls Cosmopolitan cocktails and was thankfull nobody asked me to make a Mojito. The girls loved the drink - Vodka, Cointreau, lime, cranberry juice and crushed ice.
Funny thing is, now I just got back to my pad, I decided to make myself a Cosmo.. and I have realised I was using Bacardi Rum instead of Vodka all niight!
..well, it's silly thing like that Brian finds funny..
Hey, does anyone else notice my Brian Griffin avatar is now missing?
