You know those spiteful photos that you, Veggie and Walker like to post in order to try and stir up hatred for transexuals and transvetites, but only Veggie ever got banned for while you got off Scott free?

Rick doesn't want to be legally liable as the publisher for you. So he's cut off the pictures facility as he kind of said he would here when removing a Veggie post doing that sort of thing. The sort of thing you do too.

Imagine making fun of misogynistic perverts who dress up in revolting womanface to mock women and try to crush their rights. Gosh. Imagine a man telling women they have no right to do this because it hurts men's feelings. Imagine that.

All those photos were posted publicly in the first place on a forum that is a billion times bigger than this one--BY the MEN themselves who hilariously accompanied them with nasty misogynistic comments about how 'cute' and more 'womanly' they are than ***women.

Imagine what men like FDP would do if someone dressed up as a caricature of a black person to mock them and crush their rights as human beings. Imagine that 🤔 Imagine being told you couldn't object to that because it would 'hurt their feelings'.

Imagine trying to silence women on women's rights. Imagine that.

Actually he said photos of 'living people' weren't allowed, so dead ones were ok. I was never aware of this rule myself. The last photo I got told off for was of mugshots of sadistic serial rapists and paedophiles who were tried and convicted--a photo that was publicly accessible to anyone.

Hi folks,

Yes, you are right - we have switched off the ability to upload photos on the forum. Photos in old forum posts are still up. I am sorry I wasn't able to announce this in advance of it happening.

The people from thephilosophyforum.com got in touch to ask what we were planning to do about the Online Safety Act, a new law that is about to come into effect in the UK. They've been having discussions over there about how to comply with it, or whether that is even possible. So now we here are looking at it too.

There is a section about this on the website of Ofcom, the UK govt body in charge of communications regulation:

https://www.ofcom.org.uk/online-safety/

It seems that the main aim of the new law is to improve the safety of children online, which is certainly is worth doing. Unfortunately, due to slapdash drafting of the legislation, it affects any website where users can make their own postings, including even philosophy forums. There are claims that many websites will have to shut, due to the bureaucracy involved and the draconian fines that are coming into play in the case of accidental non-compliance with the new regulations. I doubt that MPs will intervene to save us from this nonsense - most of them have trouble with email, or even with tieing their own shoelaces - so we will have to look at the regulations and see if we are able to comply with them. They require us to employ specialist tools to assess the safety of the forum with respect to 17 different kinds of online harms, and complete a report on our compliance for submission to Ofcom at regular intervals. I'd tell you more about it, but frankly I don't have time to read all this stuff while I am also trying to get a magazine to press. And that's how free speech dies online, of course - not crushed by jackboots but strangled by red tape.

Anyway, if we can find a way to keep the forum going, we will. But no promises. And I won't get the joy of reading the Ofcom site properly until after we have gone to press.

Meanwhile, one thing we are fairly sure about is that we're less likely to fall foul of the new Act if we remove the ability of members to upload images here. Not because I think anyone is going to upload anything truly awful, but because then we can tick a bureaucratic box saying "no images" and that will immediately show we fall outside the scope of many of the new rules. Sorry, but it seems a small price to pay.

From what I've gathered, it's going to be classed as 'hate speech' in the UK if you say a man isn't a woman. The UK is lost. RIP. In a decade it will be a muslim country and then where will all the 'trans' be? All they have to do is take off their dresses and lipstick. Women won't have that luxury. Women are women--with or without dresses and lipstick.

You are letting your emotions blind you to what I was actually doing in the one or two threads you are referring to.

According to Rick...
"...The people from thephilosophyforum.com got in touch to ask what we were planning to do about the Online Safety Act, a new law that is about to come into effect in the UK. They've been having discussions over there about how to comply with it, or whether that is even possible. So now we here are looking at it too...

The point is that the "...safety of children..." (and that of females of all ages) was all I was concerned with when I uploaded specific images while making a big stink over the very real possibility of sexual predators getting access to children, either through some ridiculous social experiment called "Drag Queen Story Hour,"...

...or by "pretending" to be transexual in order to gain access to female restrooms and changing rooms.

Indeed, even if they are not pretending, I'm still against males having access to women's private sanctums, or participating in women's sports.

Other than that, I couldn't care less what grown men do amongst themselves to satiate their strange and kinky desires and fetishes, as long as it's done in the appropriate venue and doesn't involve children, or forced upon females who want nothing to do with it.

That link goes to what was a photo of a woman. Did you think Miss Germany was a man?
