"Slowly walking down the hall faster than a cannon ball"

Is this just crazy stoner poetry? If I am to take the statement literally, I am brought immediately to an antinomy of thought, for I should not call an object the speed of which is quite ordinarily much slower than a cannot ball, something that could ever travel faster than a cannon ball free of artifical or mechanical means and moving only by way and force of walking.

..as my uber pulled up at my house in the early hours, Wonderwall came on the radio. I tried to explain how awesome the song is (he was Seihk), he turned it up a few notches before I climbed out..(*then he probably put the radio back to that 'rang-a-dang-bing-bong-bing-band-dilly-dong' Bollywood nonsense they all listen to)
