Reality implores you to submit to time. To worship it. To believe in a finite existence. Time is a man made construct that only humans choose to exist within the parameters of. An exploration into the ways of living outside of this paradigm.

But, 'Reality', Itself, does NOT implore ANY one to do ANY thing.Fairy wrote: ↑Tue Oct 08, 2024 5:30 pm I know this is such a boring outdated spiritual cliché..but really nothing exists except this present moment.

Only adult human beings have a 'conception' of the misnomer, and of a Wrong definition for the, word 'time'.
This is partly due to self-labelled, and so-called, "kings" and "queens" wanting and expecting 'others" to work 'quicker', for them, so that the so-called "royals" could obtain 'more money' and 'riches', and get 'more things' done and created, before 'they' were 'not around' anymore to 'observe', and 'experience'.
All other cultures live in the 'present', or the NOW, only.
The word 'time', literally, refers to the human made up concept of, 'measuring the distance between perceived events'. (And, I only use an 's' on the end of the 'event' word so that some people in the days when this is being written could relate.)

The default human-view of reality is that reality is mind-independent.
Time is only an illusion for those like the Philosophical-Realists who insist [ideologically and dogmatically] their "reality" [including time and space] is absolutely mind independent, i.e. it exists regardless of whether there are humans or not.
The above claim that time is absolutely mind-independent cannot be realistic, as such, to insist so, then time is an illusion.
However, Time is real and not an illusion but only if time is to be recognized as a man-made construct.
We need to accept Time [man-made conception] as "real" to facilitate survival more efficiently and optimally than non-human animals.
So, as long as reality [incl. time] is qualified to the human conditions [framework and system], reality exists as real, i.e. it is something and not nothing.
Re: Time is an illusion.
Just like what you have written in this forum needs qualification. And, just like what you have written below will need qualification, but which you will provide absolutely no help at all in.Veritas Aequitas wrote: ↑Wed Oct 09, 2024 1:46 amThe above need qualification.Fairy wrote: ↑Tue Oct 08, 2024 5:30 pm I know this is such a boring outdated spiritual cliché..but really nothing exists except this present moment.

This is OBVIOUSLY False and Wrong.Veritas Aequitas wrote: ↑Wed Oct 09, 2024 1:46 am The default human-view of reality is that reality is mind-independent.
But, you have absolutely no idea nor clue as to what the 'time' word refers to, exactly, in 'the way' that could and does fit in perfectly with every other word and their definitions.Veritas Aequitas wrote: ↑Wed Oct 09, 2024 1:46 am Time is only an illusion for those like the Philosophical-Realists who insist [ideologically and dogmatically] their "reality" [including time and space] is absolutely mind independent, i.e. it exists regardless of whether there are humans or not.
But, what even is 'time', itself, exactly? This, obviously, needs to be qualified before any one can go on to find out if 'time', itself, is an illusion, or not.Veritas Aequitas wrote: ↑Wed Oct 09, 2024 1:46 am The above claim that time is absolutely mind-independent cannot be realistic, as such, to insist so, then time is an illusion.
Why only when recognized as a 'man'-made construct, only?Veritas Aequitas wrote: ↑Wed Oct 09, 2024 1:46 am However, Time is real and not an illusion but only if time is to be recognized as a man-made construct.
Talk about providing any prime example of choosing and using just about any words in the hope that they will somehow back up and support one's already gained and held onto beliefs.Veritas Aequitas wrote: ↑Wed Oct 09, 2024 1:46 am We need to accept Time [man-made conception] as "real" to facilitate survival more efficiently and optimally than non-human animals.
1. you human beings do NOT 'need' to do what you claim here.
2. 'Time' is NOT a 'man'-made conception.
3. you human beings will survive just as efficiently and just as optimally if you accept the human made conception as real, ('real', or "real"), or not.
Talk about an example of using something, in this case words, to say nothing.Veritas Aequitas wrote: ↑Wed Oct 09, 2024 1:46 am So, as long as reality [incl. time] is qualified to the human conditions [framework and system], reality exists as real, i.e. it is something and not nothing.
