God punishes, the Devil offers you nice things. Which resembles a truer friend?

Both are your friends..as both are needed to teach you choice and preference, and to reject the undesirable.Gary Childress wrote: ↑Mon Sep 11, 2023 3:49 pm God punishes, the Devil offers you nice things. Which resembles a truer friend?

Yep, to you, religion is an undesirable, fit for nothing else but to be tossed away into the rubbish bin.Gary Childress wrote: ↑Sun Sep 17, 2023 2:48 pmReligion is garbage, along with the world that it was invented in.Dontaskme wrote: ↑Sun Sep 17, 2023 8:50 amBoth are your friends..as both are needed to teach you choice and preference, and to reject the undesirable.Gary Childress wrote: ↑Mon Sep 11, 2023 3:49 pm God punishes, the Devil offers you nice things. There is nothing in the world that can give you punishment or nice things that you cannot give to yourself...imo

Reality is undesirable. Religion is little more than a desperate delusion. And as with most delusions, it doesn't change reality. It just allows us to endure it longer.Dontaskme wrote: ↑Sun Sep 17, 2023 5:13 pmYep, to you, religion is an undesirable, fit for nothing else but to be tossed away into the rubbish bin.Gary Childress wrote: ↑Sun Sep 17, 2023 2:48 pmReligion is garbage, along with the world that it was invented in.

Re: GODzilla
Religion was invented by silly humans to control other humans, to entice them into obeying certain laws, that only they have invented, in order to gain them a sense of control and power in a universe they know nothing about.Gary Childress wrote: ↑Sun Sep 17, 2023 11:08 pmReality is undesirable. Humans are not even IN a universe, they are the universe.
In reality, no human has any control over anything whatsoever, humans are the most insignificant life form ever to grace the universe.
In much the same way, as Mars never shed a tear for the absence of Martians nor Jupiter ever shed a tear for the absence of Jupitarians.
There's just nothing being everything, without need, or purpose or meaning to be, except to be, just as it is. The yearning to Know reality, can only arise when there is a need to know, otherwise, reality is just a total and absolute unknowing mystery. What is this need to know? and who needs to know? ..I've no idea.
Re: GODzilla
Yet, 'reality' is not experienced as the same by everyone. So, what does that mean in regards to reality?
