I think it's important to recognize that nothing in this life is ever really certain.
There is nothing absolute that I can definitively cling to. But it's hard to get over it.
Because relativism may even be affirmed, but really living it is quite another story.
But relativism is in my opinion a necessary step.
Because it forces us to walk on a tightrope and without a net.
And I think that only by accepting this risk can one hope to savor the Truth.
It is difficult to constantly reject every "truth" that is proposed as absolute.
But this is what relativism asks: to remain in uncertainty. Without letting oneself be tempted to grasp a truth and make it one's own, in order to stop uncertainty.
Because it means giving up and falling back on a remedy in order to alleviate existential anguish.
A remedy that can be a religion as well as nihilism.
It is difficult to remain in uncertainty.
