No one ever prayed, the idea that it appears so, is a perception, no thing is perceiving.

I pray (as in: I talk to God).

I don't believe he listens or answers or intervenes, but I do it anyway.

If it were a humiliation, which it isn't, there are far greater humiliations than praying.
