But in general, and a bit more "serious" (

) sidenote ... (I hope I'm wrong)
I'm sensing in general, an evolution towards more narrow mindedness, enclosures within ego's and defensive reactions/polarization.
This while more playfulness can help to bridge the gap a bit, towards more tolerance towards each other.
Or as our good old Alan said:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQFcNFAzXGo
I get that, and so agree.
So it isn't just my imagination?
I often questioned this statement from my personal evolution, and growing from young to older, and that it's just a part of that personal evolution.
But ever since around 2000 (and the internet bubble more exactly) I have seen the evolution of this happening, from individual people growing more bitter, closed minded, towards a general flow of polarization.
I also noticed more and more the absence of dealing with issues, merely being symptom treated then inclusively handled, kicking the can forwards sort of speaking.
...and before you know it, a mount Everest wall of issues can be found on your path.
the tree example:
I often describe it also with a full grown tree, with lots of branches for several reasons (stability, diversity, even spread of weight, sunshine capture, ...) .
Every part of that tree needs a juices from the main tree trunk, in order to survive.
And what is happening more and more is that those side branches are cut, in order to have more juices run trough the main trunk,
But unfortunately, generating a very unstable tree this way, that isn't ready to survive a storm.

What I also figured out, unfortunately, is when you see such patterns, evolution, and you try something to prevent this from happening, or attempting to actually deal with an issue, you are being cut, put on a side track, seen as a problem yourself by the same fellow man you try to help

.
Like such dynamic has it's own force, and speeding up trough it's own weight/dynamics, with people, fully unaware in what they are participating in...
just like some pendulum on a clock ...

So what can one do exactly? Nothing much it seems, except perhaps, to follow your own path, be that little strange acting pebble doing it's part.
And although it might not change the course very much, at least you have peace of mind, knowing you did your part, knowing you have listened to your heart.
even if it's "just" shouting: mmkaaaakkkk pffffrrrttt
