Every Philosophy is Instructive
Every philosophy teaches us something, provide a way of seeing, never fails to show at least something new, is elucidating. Yet, there are infinite approaches to the object. Thus, philosophy is futile.

Well, I somewhat have to agree on that.
I have been studying this field for a bit, and the resemblance with walking in a supermarket and choosing a product (in philosophy an idea or fragmented definition) is very clear.
The same goes with a lot of other disciplines; like choosing your religion, a book in the library, or adapting a political view.
And for a while I made the same (a bit depressing) conclusion.
But no more really.
after that you can choose one that fits you best (like buying a coffee table with the right color)
and/or mix some together, in hopefully a good cocktail,
and/or create your own, that you then try to sell in a book
and/or keep yourself entertained with everything new on the horizon, a bit like sudoku training.
Or you can endlessly pound your head on why everyone is satisfied with a fragmented definition, cause, although perhaps suitable with current fashion statements, every fragmented definition stays fragmented, and therefore never complete, nor correct in a way (and one can never know everything, like reading everything in a library).
and generate a possible solution for that one.
Looking at the bruises on my head, it seems I took the last option the most, although, depending on the mood and capabilities I kinda mix those around.
but what ever really.
Either way, it keeps your brain busy and entertained
