There is no animal.
An animal can not exist since it is a figure of the imagination of the understanding. The eye sees something and the understanding places it amidst an imaginary ordering. Claiming that some things belong in a grouping and have certain possibilities. The animal is supposed to operate by the eyes and touch, but not by understanding. The human is supposed to be a thing with eyes plus understanding. The whole thing is a dogma of the understanding which in its power as living and unconscious reflexive imagination is identified with reality. Reality and imagination move uneasily together forming ourselves and our imaginary friends the animals and humans.
