Anarchism the third society

Post by RWStanding »

Anarchism
Through all its rambling ambiguities ‘Anarchist’ theory appears to have only one consistent theme. Its opposition to tyranny and the centralised state. Its theories are so broad as to hide the fact that it must have opposing poles. The one pole is a utopian idea of pure individualism, while the other pole is that of community. Pure individualism shares a vale with tyranny, in the shape of self-interest. Either the one in dominance over others, or each one in autonomy. Pragmatism as a value is minimal for pure individualism, but is a value that applies to authoritarianism and the community. Responsibility or duty applies to the community and also to the authoritarian state – as servile obedience. Equality applies to the community and to anarchistic individualism, but the one has a cohesive morality whereas the other has a material equality with no unified moral perspective. Of course there is a consistent theme for all forms of society in being opposed to outright chaos as the anti-society. Every society believes in ‘law and order’.
