Re: The Moral Landscape: How Science Can Determine Human Values by Sam Harris
Do we really need The government to fund a multi million dollar study by a group of scientists to prove the basis for morality. Imagine a study in progress. Some waitress serving the scientists during the convention will mutter under her breath" these idiots have never heard of the golden rule." Some scientist hears her and police will be called to take her to the mental hospital for treatment. On the way out the door she hollers "if you idiots put the same amount of money and effort in determining why people cannot be moral, then you may get somewhere." At that point she will be put in chains and finally buried next to the kid who said the emperor had no clothes. People who get in the way of progress cannot be tolerated.
