Re: The Use of Embryos
It seems churlish, given that a million embryos end up in a bloody bucket only to be flushed into the "Bio -hazardus Waste" Chute, every month, that this material could be used to find cures for diseases such as cancer and genetic 'abnormalities', is not.
Re: The Use of Embryos
This article hinges on the popular but mere “belief” that say a zygote is a human individual, which “believes” that LIFE enters at conception. I believe that there is a crucial but religiously ignored difference between “being alive” and “having LIFE” and I produce as evidence the now common practice of organ transplanting. An organ from a corpse is dead, its INDIVIDUAL has departed. The organ has lost its connection to LIFE. However that organ is still alive (for a while) and is kept alive by keeping it on ice. So there we have a lifeless organ i.e. without LIFE being ALIVE; QED. Also: a corpse is dead, LIFE-less, but its cells are very much alive and busy to convert it into a putrid state, “dust to dust” be it by cremation, burial or leaving it to nature like on a battle field.
That reminds me of that other point in the article where it refers to mitochondrial donation involving sacrificing one embryo. Why such thoughts when in war human lives are sacrificed at random on both sides, each firmly “believing” to have a right to do so.

Re: The Use of Embryos
The general intellect in various humans are tragically low, the only way to bypass this is to use genetics. At the same time we need robots to take over the "loser jobs" that highly intelligent humans won't take.

But you said robots will be doing them?HexHammer wrote:Do loser jobs? ...
No idea what you mean by 'losers' nor 'good' genetics?dunno how many losers there are with good genetics.
Re: The Use of Embryos
It's always possible to free up some robots to make losers do loser jobs?Arising_uk wrote:But you said robots will be doing them?HexHammer wrote:Do loser jobs? ...No idea what you mean by 'losers' nor 'good' genetics?dunno how many losers there are with good genetics.

And what do you mean by 'loser' jobs?
Re: The Use of Embryos
"idleness is the root cause of all evil" if you sit idle you will dissolve mentally, the brain is like a muscle that needs training to stay strong and useful, you most likely get depressed, get bored and cause trouble ..etc, that's why having a job is a good cure.Arising_uk wrote:Why?HexHammer wrote:It's always possible to free up some robots to make losers do loser jobs?

"loser jobs" like ..cleaning toilets, sweep the ground ..jobs that require no intelligence.

Those 'loser jobs' are what make life comfortable for everyone. I have the greatest respect for those doing what you call 'loser jobs'. And a lot of people love that kind of work. You can take pride in any kind of job, and do it to the best of your ability. There are plenty of wanker jobs you could pick on that don't create, and contribute nothing positive.HexHammer wrote:"idleness is the root cause of all evil" if you sit idle you will dissolve mentally, the brain is like a muscle that needs training to stay strong and useful, you most likely get depressed, get bored and cause trouble ..etc, that's why having a job is a good cure.Arising_uk wrote:Why?HexHammer wrote:It's always possible to free up some robots to make losers do loser jobs?

Great. Yet another use to invade a woman's bodily integrity. Breed them til they fall apart, use them after, and then take the excess.
Re: The Use of Embryos
Yes, you are very right! ..but the problem is that so many in Denmark are on wealthfare and won't bother to take such jobs, because if they don't it's inconsequencial ..they will get their wealthare anyways. So they deem them @loser jobs@, even tho I personally consider it a job like any other as it\s an honest job!vegetariantaxidermy wrote:Those 'loser jobs' are what make life comfortable for everyone.
