Loathed as I am to just publish a link on its own, I thought these to maps were a much interest and might stimulate some discussion.
I was particularly interested in the 5% population map, which divides the world into 5,5 and 90 percent, of the most dense, the least dense, and the rest. If you thought that your country was overpopulated then think of east India.
The real size of Africa (when not seen through a Mercator projection) is surprisingly large and able to accommodate the US, China, India and most of Europe.
