This is the prelude of communism, not very bright people believe in communism, and this is essentially a totoal waste of time.
This has no relevance! Just as the magazine doesn't have any relevance!

And not very bright people express their prejudices without thought, Plato's thoughts apply to all totalitarian states.

Relevance to what you loon? The magazine is relevant to those who wish an introduction to Philosophy and what it has said. Obviously not to such as you who has little interest in Philosophy.

Don't I? Tell me this, have you actually read Plato's book? Did you actually read the article? If you did then you must subscribe to the magazine, why do you do this given what you've said or are your words just your usual bullshit about things you don't know.

Which programming are you talking about?

I've read a few pages of Plato's Just state and EVERYTHING is pure nonsense and babble, completely unsuited for any modern understanding of society. It's as relevant as aether, or blood letting.

This is excatly why I said it was a prelude for communism.

..well u just gave a quite convincing display of understanding of this P = truth or whatever it was.

I think it was Nietzsche who said that the only thing that redeemed Plato in his eyes for banishing poetry and art from his Republic was that he allegedly died with a copy of one of Aristophanes's plays under his pillow.

Care to quote an example? I agree that it is not a desirable state but that does not make it nonsense nor babble.
As to whether it can provide a modern understanding of society I'd first of all like you to give me an example of such a thing? But would point-out that a book written a couple of thousand years ago was not designed to produce an understanding of current society. What it can do however is still raise questions about the current society and why it is preferred.

Pretty much nothing like Communism as despite its faults communism was fairly egalitarian in many areas.

And you give a good example of those who hear nothing but what they think, for example, you cannot even describe what I said and yet you think I've given a convincing display of it. You are pretty much a prime example of a nonsense babbler in that you have opinions about things you haven't bothered to read through.

No, you quote where he has actual relevance, it's the usual idiocy from you, when you also ask me to quote something useful from Kant, even tho every sane person should know he's outdated too.

I'm tired of you trying to make me run a blatant fool's errand.

Quote something useful or shut your stupid mouth!

I know that's not directed at me, but here's one:

[To achieve a just society,] "philosophers must become kings."

That would suggest instead of democrasy we can just hire philosophers for everything, just give people a philosopher education and we have a super society..

........complete retards?!!?

So let me ask my usual questons, so what can philosophers do?!?! ..NOT A FUCKING THING!!!!
Can they do a bypass operation? Do they suddenly know everything about economy? How to prioritize money for roads, schools, military ..etc?
Can they build a bridge, fly an airplane?

Big businesses won't hire philosophers because they can't do shit! Philosophy is outdated! Get it through your thick stupid heads!

Trying to make it relevant and teach these clueless people, it's a Sisyphus task, but I live in the delusion.
