Earth like Mind
Earth like Mind
Earth like Mind
"Take a giant step outside your mind" - Taj Mahal
The earth is alive with life... everywhere life is teeming, screaming, beaming, careening... busy and moving, change that never stops. The earth inhabited by life, a fungus living off itself, regenerating itself, sustaining itself... each and every life form struggling to keep their life, their lives alive and vibrant. We are all pieces of the pie, each of us a slice of moving, changing, transforming matter from embryo to an empty shell no longer capable of holding back life from moving on.
Life is diverse to keep it interesting. When life is interesting there is something that makes it all worth while... a joy to being alive. All life intermingling with other forms containing that same spark that leaped off the great flame that warms and nourishes life... when the life form wears out, the spark, that spirit of consciousness returns to the ethers to yet inhabit another new form fresh from the womb of procreation... we are all lit.
Our earth is the one oasis in a solar system of all matter that will fulfill life's desire to change... the endlessness of movement upon a planet that also is in constant flux.
Step outside Earth and step outside your mind. A new level of awareness follows... the mind is seen as that one place within the body of existence where there is a diverse and plentiful living. Like thinking, there is always some thing that attracts mind... but here beyond mind is a closeness to a place outside of the limiting questions that make mind what it is, what it has been and what there may be - an endless need to answer its questions.
When we question we are showing a level of caring... we'd care to know the answer, we'd care to understand what it is we are questioning... these questions/answers are what allows us to continue, asking more and more to understand our lives amongst all other life.
Consciousness is not questions/answers but being... simple acceptance of being... an observer's view that is not the questioning but the accepting of life that has been moving, changing, transforming forever.
The seeds of life are spread throughout the universe, but not all planets are fertile. The seed cannot take root upon pure stone, it cannot sprout without the climatic conditions that allow its life to bloom... but Earth allows the correct conditions for life,as we understand it, to reach it's potential. Our commonality is what brings us together... multiple lifeforms each on their own levels, the duality of living off and living for other life forms.
Mind is but one level of our Being... one condition of existence, with mind we do what we are - think. 'Think' is the state that allows mind to engage according to its nature, its need to survive. But we find that our need is to survive comfortably in order to grasp our environment.... busy and changing - from the subatomic to the magnatomic, transforming in order to exist. Comfortably requires an ease with our life... too much dis-ease and we break down. The pulse of life runs not on our timepieces, our calendars, for those are fixed - immobile, they inhibit change and transformation if given too much importance. Good for measuring, but to make the measurement into a stationary condition may conflict with the pattern of Nature, which our mind calls 'unnatural.'
Life's need to survive is powerful. It requires Life to sustain the flame. Consciousness does not function without the Light. Without Light life does not live... life becomes extinguished. We see it happen when the energy of matter can no longer sustain a lifeform that is weakened and no longer able to sustain itself.
Consciousness is the fulfillment of duality, where there is no longer a need for answers for all is acceptance... like water in a glass, limited by the lifeform but fluid enough to accept its own space... aware of its nature to return to the endless sea.
When we accept our Self and our union with existence we become whole... complete. Our realization with this oneness with life takes us outside mind. When that one moment of realization frees us from the mind - our wholeness, like a flower, blooms forth into the garden of life and our essence of being joins the fragrant spirit of life flowing freely fulfilled... our finality, the birth of yet another journey...

I really like the way you write.
This spoke to me.
Quite philosophical and practical.

... I do see a few hits to this that might mean they read it..? Dealing with any board, one never knows what people think if they keep their own thoughts locked up tight and never to be shared. Terrible waste of mind, you reckon?

Nicely written. A joy to read.

Of course they were positive, as positive begets positive, at least I sensed your positive projection, thanks! It was refreshing and I agree with the essence of your commentary! All Life is beautiful, all life on earth supports all life, a symbiosis. As we care for that symbiosis, we care for ourselves; we earth dwellers are one, in this miracle we call life!mtmynd1 wrote:Thank you very much, 'fractal'... your positive words are appreciated.fractal wrote:Nicely written. Aside from the usual babble, you are factual wrong about seeds not being able to grow upon pure rock, there's a concept called "aeropontic" where plants can grow without soil.mtmynd1 wrote:The seed cannot take root upon pure stone
It's gaining popularity in countries where the soil is heavily poluted.

Here, in "English," which is in fact the language you were supposedly just using, they are called lithophytic and epiphytic plants.

Re: Earth like Mind
I am well aware that English is not your native language and English is not a very easy language to use, I would still advise you Hex, as I've done before, master the language you are challenging so readers will take you seriously... or attempt to.HexHammer wrote:Aside from the usual babble, you are factual wrong about seeds not being able to grow upon pure rock, there's a concept called "aeropontic" where plants can grow without soil.mtmynd1 wrote:The seed cannot take root upon pure stone

BTW: I needn't be reminded of my words. The statement I made was a generalization and really, HH, was unnecessary to put under your microscope and scrutinized but merely to invite as thought... something I beginning to realize you are may be short on practicing.
Happy Holiday to you...
(... and thanks Spheres. As usual your responses are well received.)

My good mtmiasdlif12½1 you see this is a philosophy site, love of wisdom, so what has OP to do with widsom?mtmynd1 wrote:BTW: I needn't be reminded of my words. Happy Holiday to you...
First, Happy Holidays to you too HH, in whatever you celebrate.
I'll always fight for your right to be heard, no matter how grating it may seem to my ears. I too would enjoy your advanced articulation, I enjoy it from anyone's lips.
As to mtmynd1's OP Wisdom...
I do indeed find it very wise, absolutely! Maybe the one seeing it must have some ground work laid out in advance to catch the wisdom it contains.
Not to be rude but are you affected by Asperger syndrome? I would never hold it against you, I'm a very compassionate person. Just curious, because that might explain quite a lot. And I know you'd never ask for it, but accordingly, I'd feel obligated to make allowances.
Still I'd ask you to tighten up your rhetoric a bit, selfishly, because I really like interesting, non repetitive, stuff.
And happy Holiday to you too!

Excuse me, but what is "OP"...? I'm not wise enough to figure it out.SpheresOfBalance wrote: As to mtmynd1's OP Wisdom...I do indeed find it very wise, absolutely!

Re: Earth like Mind
Actually it kinda has two meanings, that can be figured out contextually. It either means the Original Poster, or the Original Post. Obviously in this case it was, "Original Post."mtmynd1 wrote:Excuse me, but what is "OP"...?
