Dimensions

How does science work? And what's all this about quantum mechanics?

Dimensions

Post by WanderingLands »

Just a quick thought. Etymologically, the word 'dimension' can be divided into 'di' (two) and 'mension' (measure), which can alternatively mean 'double the measurement'. So it should be, then, for me, that 'three dimensions' should be changed to 'trimensions', since there are different types of measurements in an object: length, width, and height. I think that this is more correct, in terms of an etymological and as well as connecting it to a physical view of objects.
