When I began studying philosophy the department offered a course in the Pre-Socratics which I took. I thought that it was more valuable than the introduction to philosophy course, which canonized Descartes and completely ignored the Middle Ages.
I applaud PhilosophyNow for publishing this issue, an issue to be read from the first to the last page.
