~ Living Philosophy ~

Post by Bill Wiltrack »

.

This medium, this forum, is rather limited to what we choose to present to others.

These words; these metaphors, are individual egos...contained within each active member.

Are these egos me? - No. No, not at all.

Are they you? - No. Not at all.

...I just came back from my church. It's what other people might call a gym.

When I'm down there, working-out.

I don't really need my thoughts;
my individual egos.

They persist. And I fight them.

At times I perhaps, will feel an expansion of self. Just an experience of reality.

In my relationship to this exercise in self-consciousness my momentary egos fade. I become less of these momentary estrangements of reality.

Things become clearer.

If I am lucky I will experience an unexpected deep and extended silence within me.

On another vein, within the same active philosophical experience, my actual physical life is in a heightened degree of immediate non-existence.

So, I'm very serious about my philosophical life.

This experience, this living philosophy is at the core of my existence. At times it's everything to me in my entirety.

There are gentle people here. People who read philosophy or read about philosophers and think they are doing philosophy.

Philosophy is all around us.It's all about us. It is in the way we perceive ourselves in our reality.

Moment by moment in our Living Philosophy. Bringing life into our dead reality.

They also seem to reoccur and be reposted ad nauseam.

Exactly.

As you've pretty much posted this exact thread with the same images before.

Nah! As you got it the last time you posted it and didn't reply then so why pretend things would be different now.

My guess is that you have these on cut-paste and just forgot you've already done this one.
...why do you make me feel like I am the wisest, most powerful philosopher on the planet?
Because you have no clue what Philosophy is and have a narcissistic personality disorder.

Why, Why a disorder?

Last time I checked I'm about the only one that doesn't wear a mask of a Disney character right from the rip.

I lay-out my philosophy
, with no holds barred.

I state my position in clear, short threads & posts.

I don't put myself above anyone for what I have read or may have read.

I'm THE ONLY MEMBER who doesn't suck-up to Rick or the Mods.
Matter-of-fact I look at each of my posts as being my last post.

No one, NO ONE has pushed the boundaries as I have.

I am naked.

If you are reading any emotion into my response then, that's on you.

Let me be clear.

Reading about philosophers and reading their viewpoints and disciplines is very important – ESPECIALLY when one is just beginning to explore philosophy and self-knowledge.

Many individuals never make it past this point. And that is perfectly fine.

So read. Read as much as you can and let your intuition be your guide.

But don't, don't ever think that it is I the one with a disorder...

Good luck to you.

Because it fits your symptoms.
Last time I checked I'm about the only one that doesn't wear a mask of a Disney character right from the rip.
Not right from the rip but then you've not been here long enough to know this.

The difference is Bill that I don't wear a false front.

Oh! And its not Disney.

I lay-out my philosophy, with no holds barred.
You have no philosophy. Just what your gnu gave you.
I state my position in clear, short threads & posts.
Like I said, not a philosophy.
I don't put myself above anyone for what I have read or may have read.
Yes you do Bill. It screams out with every post you make.
I'm THE ONLY MEMBER who doesn't suck-up to Rick or the Mods. Matter-of-fact I look at each of my posts as being my last post.
You have no evidence for any of this and you're also wrong as you are about the only person who has posted suck-up posts to the mods and Rick.

"Matter-of-fact I look at each of my posts as being my last post." Me, me, me. Get over yourself.
No one, NO ONE has pushed the boundaries as I have.
In your dreams. All you push is a mish-mash of hippy 'eastern' metaphysics and new age guff.
I am naked.
And don't you just love yourself.
If you are reading any emotion into my response then, that's on you.
Nope, as I don't bother reading such stuff into others.
Let me be clear.
That'll be a first.
Reading about philosophers and reading their viewpoints and disciplines is very important – ESPECIALLY when one is just beginning to explore philosophy and self-knowledge.
Reading about them is pointless, reading their philosophy is interesting. Allowing oneself to explore them with respect to ones beliefs and amending ones beliefs with what you agree with is philosophy.
Many individuals never make it past this point. And that is perfectly fine.
Faint praise from someone who hasn't even made it that far.
So read. Read as much as you can and let your intuition be your guide.
Have you noticed that your thoughts aren't even yours as you absorb phrases from others and regurgitate them without knowing? Or are you once more playing to those you wish to gnu to.
But don't, don't ever think that it is I the one with a disorder...
Can't think of any other explanation for your behaviour and the diagnosis fits so well.
Good luck to you.
Hear your false front?

I don't hear a false front.

And I'm listening really hard.

We've been through this before...

There is a Living Philosophy; Living a philosophically centered life, moment by moment.

It's REAL. It's beyond the pages of a book.

It may BEGIN from the pages of a book, but then again, it may not.

Look, I will always picture you, now and in the future, as this girl in this GIF;

…........................................Image

The fibers of the carpet are literal words.

The girl has her face right in front of the individual fibers. She can't see beyond that. Cannot see the bigger picture.

Now, imagine that I am behind you – out of sight of the frame of this GIF.

Grabbing your hair I pull your head back and you let-out a slight sigh...It hurts first, then you adjust to a slightly larger view.

I let out a low growl; Non-verbal, as I again arch your back and pull your head even farther back.

Together we begin a quickly escalating screech as I pull your head even farther back.

This even LARGER view of all words; all the fibers of the carpet in front of us.

It must be non-verbal. It must be detached.

In the Bible ecstasy actually meant detachment.

We rhythmically work into an eventual unified cry together as one witness in the vast moment of this universe.

This is what I want you to see.

Beyond the individual metaphors of these individual words.

Let us let our individual egos collapse into a pile of what they really are; passive receptacles.

...a vessel where the universe passes through. Nothing more...nothing to be defended.

Just empty.

I will always see you in this way. As an innocent young girl...

And I will fill you.

Man you do like the sound of your own voice don't you Dave?

Just imagine just as you were pulling me across the fibres, I turned around and said, your time is up, that's an hour, next week we will explore your childohood issues further. ;)
