if aliens held hands

Yes if you encounted aliens from another world and two of them where holding hands would this make you less frieghtened of them aliens.if so there must be a reason dont you reckon.

Probably. Because we have a cultural association of hand-holding with affection between two separate intelligent entities. Seeing this behaviour in any other creature, we would automatically assume that they have empathy; thus we might expect gentleness and kindness. Of course, they might have a completely different reasons for the behaviour, and we know that, but our emotions are influenced more by experience than reason.
