For Trump, stream-of-consciousness rambling is an effective tactic. Rather than the slanted, partisan, inaccurate and often idiotic opinions of his opponents, Trump’s record as president is the objective measure of his effectiveness.

Biden on the other hand, rescued from the trash heap of politics by Obama, who ran for president three times but who had to quit the first time because of his plagiarism, and who never won a primary until recently in South Carolina, is a victim of his own ramblings. He is a slave to his own mouth, not master. For him rambling is not a tactic, it’s a desperate casting about for some exaggeration, some flat-out lie, to sell that used car. You should hear the big ones he has told about his past. Oy.

Oh please, there was a worldwide so-called 'boom' in the 1980s which all came crashing down in 1987--WHILE he was president. Reagan was president during the 'greed is good' years. It was an artificial 'economic boom' that had nothing to do with general standard of living. Worldwide interest rates were through the roof. All it did was create lots of millionaires in a short space of time (and 'uncreated' them even quicker )
This is the kind of crap that mis-nomered 'neo-liberalism' inflicts on populations. People think that because there are more millionaires then the country in general must be doing well. This country suffered through a 'neo-liberal' Govt. for 9 horrible years. It was referred to as a 'rock star' economy for fuck sake, yet when they took over there were essentially NO homeless people here and by the time they left office there were tens of thousands (one of the worst in the developed world) and the next Govt. inherited the biggest debt by a long shot in our history. Now we have BEGGARS! That's uneard of here! Some 'rock star'.

Well, not "Trump," per se, obviously...he wasn't even in politics when Ronald Reagan was president.

Rather, I'm saying that whoever took care of Ronald Reagan at the end of his time in office did the right thing for an aging politician who was slipping...they helped him go out with his dignity. But whoever is "taking care of" Joe Biden is clearly not looking to his best interests, but to something else.

It's just to blunt Bernie. The old guard in the party (elected, appointed, and in the DNC) aren't ready to openly, with purpose, back a naked, bold socialist. Mebbe in '24, or '28, but not in '20.

Biden is safe (moderate [relative to Bernie], controllable). His loss to Trump is survivable.

If Bernie loses to Trump the damage is profound, forcin' a redirectin' of the party (which ain't gonna happen) or a diminishment of the party (which is intolerable).

They want Bernie, but understand AMURICA isn't ready for full-blown socialism.
