When you think about it, for its massive size the US hasn't really produced any 'great greats' that I can think of off the top of my head. Composers, artists, scientists, explorers. I mean those humans that EVERYONE has heard of because they did/discovered/created something that changed everything. People like Einstein, Rutherford, Isaac Newton, Galileo, Picasso, Shakespeare, Da Vinci, Edmund Hillary, Marco Polo, Charles Darwin, Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, The Beatles etc.
When you look up 'lists of greatest Americans' they all seem to be politicians.
