That would be the claim of the sensationalist news story. Perhaps if Belinda goes over the edge with it and ends up as the next Phil8765-90879 that would provide solid evidence.

There's a lot of people on this site who have taken the same sort of break with reality that the article discusses, most did so long before chatbots were available to blame. I often wonder what their origin stories might be, don't you at some level want to know what calamity formed Immanuel Can or Advocate into such monsters?
Indeed, I am curious to know what makes someone a sucker for conspiracy theories. I can only suppose that limited education and limited analytical thinking contribute to such gullibility.
I called out conspiracy theorists here a while ago, thinking I was just being mean to IC for funsies. Turned out there's a lot more of it spread around than I realised :S
