There must be something there for your finger to touch and feel, if not then you wouldn't be able to say you can touch it with your fingertip.

Now, show an image of consciousness that you feel with your finger.

So the point is, you feel pain by bright light, loud sound, etc. You feel all of your senses, not just what you touch.
