From an outsider perspective, there's a ton of calculation in the Trump-critic's desire to re-interpret every remark the man makes in the most sinister light possible. The public in America has watched a sequence of partisan witch-hunts designed to spin everything in the darkest direction -- yet these witch hunts have been so manifestly incompetent, so thoroughly unsuccessful and so clearly conceived on the basis of spite not strategy, that the American public has got to be aware by this time that the critics have very little respect for their intelligence.
And I think the critics are actually going to be surprised when the election results come in...because they keep thinking that what they are doing is working, when it's clearly "going south" faster than a duck in Autumn.

Neither. Judging by people like you, there's more to worry about the Trump virus spreading than the corona one. He initially claimed it was a hoax perpetrated by the Democrats that "
