There are a number of powerful lobby groups which have more influence on public policy than is desirable for a democracy but no valid comparison could be made with the completely dysfunctional US system where political power is merely a marketable commodity like any other in a so-called "free" market. It's only free to those why can afford to pay for it.
Ok. Australia is the one exception to being run by it's oligarchs. Oh wait. The U.K. as well.

I hope you are right but if you listen to all the heat Trump gets for saying just that, in his own way of course, you might wonder, --- as all the political correct idiots stand for Islam.
That's funny as fuck given Trump is playing the xenophobic card and has treated women as lesser than him.
Name callers are poor thinkers and those who support such a backwards and immoral religion show how little moral sense they have.

I never called anyone a name? And have no love or support for any religion. All I pointed out was the irony of you using Trump as a paragon to oppose Islamic fundamentalist xenophobia and misogyny as he is doing both in his campaign.

??
I am a Gnostic Christian and reject you first statement.
I do not use Trump for anything. I just agree that Islam and Democracy are not compatible and I see no reason to let an enemy into my country of into the U.S..
Indonesia has a flourishing democracy and has the largest Islamic population in the world. They value their democracy so highly that they also have the most restrictive laws in the world to suppress Islamic jihadism. In Indonesia, as in many parts of the Muslim world, radical fundamentalism is uniformly seen as un-Islamic.
GIA. A word to the wise. Don't believe a word you hear on this subject from any of the propaganda organs which pass as media outlets in the US. Your people are being kept in the dark and fed a crock of shit.

I am a Canadian and do not believe you as to what is shit or not.
As to their democracy. Look again for the first time.

I guess you don't care to provide any references for what some people might call your own crock of shit, huh?

Your attitude is a pretty damn good piece of evidence, ironically enough.
Keep talking and adding to the data.
