A smile on your face and not a shred of human decency. How you sleep at night is a wonder.
No, that is not quite right, Gary. We have been edging toward war (I mean on a larger, world-level) for possibly as long as a decade. The Mid East stuff has been going on for 30 years.
Ah, things are beginning to make sense now.

Our little lord Alexis is under the impression that the world did not exist prior to him being born 30 years ago.

It’s no wonder his so-called “Big Picture” vision of reality is so childish and limited.

A quick Google search has led me to think that it might have something to do with little Alexis never growing out of this phase...
AI Overview:

Infantile Egocentrism: Coined by psychologist Jean Piaget, this describes a normal phase in early childhood development where young children view the world entirely from their own perspective, lacking the cognitive maturity to fully conceptualize an objective universe independent of their own existence.
Maybe one of us (I volunteer Lacewing) can give him the ol’ “birds and bees” talk.

That does seem to fit.

Oh, thanks.

I don't really have much tolerance for arrogant man-childs. Their needy egos are destructive to everything they touch and impose themselves upon. It's like they grew up thinking they were the center of the Universe, reigning over the Earth and to be served by females as their mama did. To that I say, "Fu<k you asshole. Grow the fu<k up." Is that too harsh?

REAL/GOOD MEN are wise enough not to live in service to their egos. They understand they are an equal part of a bigger collective, no more, no less. They contribute... not dominate. They are in touch with their divine magic in a constructive way. And they don't try to turn it into a religion that glorifies themselves or that creates/imagines gods in their own image.

Alexis has no concept (or interest) beyond his self-serving bubble which he imagines to accurately represent all that exists. It is his little imagined kingdom that he rules over. Probably best to let him play by himself in the corner, as he does not play well with others.

The answer to your question is simplicity itself. If Lacewing, Gary, Mick and my ever repetitious self must be examined in a "realistic light" then it is not hysteria which engenders the mood but simple human revulsion for someone whose sanity has achieved escape velocity from his brain which was never normal in the first place.

Not in the slightest was he ever a stable genius, except in deceit, and now he's proven himself to not even qualify as a stable idiot, senility sabotaging the minuscule which may have survived his psychotic narcissism, relative to which, truth becomes fake news.

My question to you is how long will it take before his 24/7 spewing and ramblings of utter garbage and contempt farragos are required before the obvious finally becomes a revelation?

When, in your opinion, do actions speak louder than words? There are times when there are no other options but for the outcomes of actions to take priority, which words, aside from reporting, no-longer have the capacity to camouflage regardless of how much one tries.

There is nothing that has been said that warrants comment, if only because you-plural do not seem to understand what I said.
AJ wrote:Now, the Mood of Hysteria — Lacewing, Gary, Mick and Dubious — has to be examined in a realistic light. Is it really completely caused by Donald Trump? I do not think so. Examine Gary’s Lamentations. At the base he fears and cannot live in this world as it is. He cannot bear that it is how it is. Trump excites his already present profound malaise and anxiety. So his reaction is psychological and ‘hysterical’. Womanish. Lacewing burns in ressentiment. Her profound arrogance is intensely stinulated by the figure of the buffoon. But her hatred is in fact more complex. She hates far more than Trump, that is clear. God only knows Mick’s orientation but it looks to be a simplistic ‘leftism’ that encourages knee-jerk responses. Anything and anyone sounding vaguely Rightwing arouses a practiced contempt. It is a psychology very prevalent today. The children of those who built the house turn against the parents who build the house. “Bored with Connecticut” they tear down the house. Or in any case cheer its destruction from within it.
When you find someone against whom you can rally your forces and oppose (this is standard forum dynamic) the possibility to discuss things cooly and rationally goes out the window. The responses just given illustrate perfectly what I am trying to communicate.

None of your complaining, or these rehearsals of anxiety, will have any effect at all on world events. You provide examples of people trapped in emotionalism.

Dubious, we have already established that Donald Trump is a flawed player at best. But endless complaining about him, though I gather it is cathartic (?) does nothing to explain his advent at this point in American history. Soon his term will come to an end -- and then what? The attack on Iran at this juncture seems to have been (as Pape and Mearsheimer are saying) a severe strategic blunder and possibly the worst one in America's history. Unless, somehow, the objectives are actually achieved and Iran's government is changed.

I suggest veering away from a useless focus on Donald Trump and seeing things more in the context of the American power-system vis-a-vis other systems.

This is a gorgeous example of extreme, clinical ressentiment. Beyond all doubt it is men and men’s culture that has developed and constructed the world. And the battles and jockeying between major players in the present is non-different. It is not that one cannot complain or bellyache over the ways of the world, that lament is part-and-parcel of our modalities. But this dripping, virulent and seething contempt for men is pathological.

The other interesting part of it is attempting to establish what “good men” will or should do, however the definition is controlled by a woman with absolutely no material power, no ‘ownership’ interest, and effectively no position in realism, just girlish complaining broadcast by way of a false attitude of moral superiority.

Because of my sharp comments directed to Lacewing, who really has no background in any of this (just a complaining attitude), and because of my delicious insults, now I suffer the wrath of feminine emoting of anger & contempt. But none of this is the point. Or put another way there is no analysis in it that is worthy of consideration. The actual topic has been forgotten. Now it is all rehearsal, dramatic repartee and a group performance of forum team-up.

Alexis Jacobi is so very far above all of this! He careens and cavorts in an atmosphere unknown to you intellectual groundlings!

This is the function if TDS. It’s like a dance craze that swept the nation. Or like mass formation:
Mass formation also known as mob or crowd psychology — is the study of how individual behavior is influenced by large group of people. This branch of social psychology has been studied by Sigmund Freud, Floyd Allport, Gustave Le Bon, and many others.
It is suggested by Gustave Le Bon that the masses go through three main stages as part of what’s considered to be a mass hypnosis.
These two symptoms should be noted here:
Contagion — a phase characterized by having individuals ideas and emotions greatly influenced by the dynamics of their surrounding masses.

Suggestion — the phase where the group have developed a shared unconscious which affect their decisions and feelings.

Yeah, that’s a right wing lie.

I’m surprised that you didn’t check before doing a Nick Fuentes with it. Is that naïve of me?
Where would I check?
Well, you’ve made a modest start by establishing that “many many millions” is an anti-Biden hyperbole. Does exaggeration count as lying? Not always; it depends on context. However, in this highly partisan and highly charged dispute, I’m inclined to say, “yes, that’s dishonest”.

But the number of immigrants isn’t the only hostile claim you were making. It isn’t even the most important.

I’m happy to put aside for now the claim that 6.5 m immigrants caused tangible damage to the US. That leaves the central claim about Biden’s policy.

It is a lie that Biden intentionally allowed the increase in immigration that occurred during his term.

I do not know even how to respond. In the 1600s Europeans arrived in N. America and in short order built a tremendously powerful and highly relevant civilization on virgin soul. But from this pathological feminine position, it is all condemned. It is very Christian at least psychologically. That is, that the whole world is Satan’s Kingdom as long as men are “playing army” which is a description of organized and focused activity, not just war-making.

Remember Camille Paglia: “If it were up to women we’d still be living in grass huts.”

I do not justify nor condemn what is going on in this new and I think radical and dangerous phase, I only say there is more advantage in understanding things. It is not going to change! Even if all that is done is made ‘illegal”.

I'm not interested in your responses for the reasons I have given. You are too big on yourself to actually explore anything with anyone else for more than a deceptive initial show, before launching into your need to dominate the discussion with your supposed superiority. Such need for adoration! 8)

I have no way to know what the real number is. Nor do you, I would guess. I have heard various estimates and they differ greatly. Obviously, everyone exaggerates on all sides.

As to hostile claims I would ask “hostile to whom”?

Ah, but the difference between us is that I haven’t made a claim, and you have. By your own admission your claim (that Biden allowed many many millions of foreigners into the country) is based in ignorance.

As to hostile claims I would ask “hostile to whom”?
Huh? To Biden and his reputation. I am surprised that wasn’t clear to you.

You repeated the right wing lie that Biden intentionally allowed the increase in immigration that occurred during his term.

That the regime in power during that time worked the narrative of an ‘open border’ that anyone with the will to make the effort to travel to the border and cross, was at that time thoroughly beyond doubt. Here in Colombia tens of thousands responded to the call, sold meagre possessions to accumulate what money would be needed to travel and to cross. It was a phenomenon of the culture reported on in the periodicals and discussed on radio and teevee programs. Some were able to fly to Mexico and then travel north. Some could only cross by way of Darien — including a woman I met in the States from Táchira state in Venezuela who crossed the Darien on foot with her two children (9 and 16) and then traveled overland, receiving quantities of travel money by Western Union from family already in the States as she traveled up.

She availed herself of a US government App to which she uploaded documents and received a provisional permission to enter, as I suppose did many others. Information like this — about the ways and means to enter — circulated, naturalky, on Facebook and other social media channels.

(Lovely woman by the way, who saw an escape route out of Venezuela and took it. I have no rancor against someone doing so but that might nit be obvious to you).

No, esteemed Mick, there is no doubt about the claims made, the debate and argument is about the ramifications of these things, the effects, the long term results, etc.

How did this bizarre definition come to be cobbled together? When you examine it, it is really a woman’s attempt to turn the man or the men in her life … into a woman!

Oh Lacewing, you really do wear hippy-like low thread-count capes and you just have to have a giant crystal pendant!
