There is NO contradiction in the consideration of two minds being instantiated to within identical symmetrical points of view.

Yes there is.attofishpi wrote: ↑Wed Sep 27, 2023 11:21 am There is NO contradiction in the consideration of two minds being instantiated to within identical symmetrical points of view.
No they ain't. That's the point of Bonny's Room, each David Boon is seeing precisely the same dicking thing.Skepdick wrote: ↑Wed Sep 27, 2023 11:24 amYes there is.attofishpi wrote: ↑Wed Sep 27, 2023 11:21 am There is NO contradiction in the consideration of two minds being instantiated to within identical symmetrical points of view.
"Identical" means "never different"
If instance 1 and 2 are looking at each other things get really weird.
Are they seeing the same thing?
Different things?
No, I don't get it.attofishpi wrote: ↑Wed Sep 27, 2023 11:48 am No they ain't. That's the point of Bonny's Room, each David Boon is seeing precisely the same dicking thing.

Because in the most precise sense possible they aren't "precisely the same thing".
They are two different things.
You're both saying the same thing, except in different dialects. In other words, you're arguing with yourselves, because if you didn't argue with yourselves, then you would argue with others. Thinking is not doing. However, if we have nothing we wish done, then we think instead of do.attofishpi wrote: ↑Wed Sep 27, 2023 11:54 amWhat's different?Skepdick wrote: ↑Wed Sep 27, 2023 11:50 amNo, I don't get it.attofishpi wrote: ↑Wed Sep 27, 2023 11:48 am No they ain't. I thought you would understand.. they are precisesly symmetrical at the point of instantiation.
I reject arguing in opposition.
then find something to construct that doesn't cause others to protest. However, if you're only building it for yourself and don't want to share it, then I can't guarantee anyone else won't protest. However, maybe if you don't devote any resources that others need for their own projects, then no one will protest. Life deals some of us lemons and some people want to turn it into lemonade. Some want to put in in their tea. Some people also need lemons and just want them to be lemons. However, if we use all the lemons up for our own purposes, then there are no more lemons.
