If that woman asked you for money again you would probably sell your mother into slavery to get it or pawn off your organs. It's so obvious
I'd like to think that I'm only partially reprehensible.

- What the link doesn’t say, but what life implies, is that when girls become women they will eventually just want selfless kindness. This implies that for the giver, kindness is its own reward.
- The link could also be about the beginnings of gender dysphoria.
I think it mostly implies that I made all the wrong choices and now I'm screwed. Not that anyone else should care one way or the other.
Yes, but you keep insisting that you will make the SAME 'choices' again if the opportunity arises. So why complain about it then?
Because I want the results to change into what I want them to be.

Is it unconditional if one was hoping for a relationship?
Sounds more like an investment that didn't pay off.
If it was unconditional, should there be any regret that one gave it?
It appears both parties knew what was happening, and someone got the short straw.
'better that love of one outweighs need of one' [paraphrasing]
You don't need to be honest to us,
but I hope you're being honest to yourself -
if you wish to understand and learn from what happened.
But I'm a fool too, and likely way off base.
Feel welcome to curse me under your breath / ignore.

I think she is a memory of the old man's women ... mother, grandmother, wife, daughter.
I see it as an old man watching as his clock runs out, as he moves further and further away from the happier pursuits of youth. It has a somber meaning to me, perhaps that's no surprise.

Since the first hearing this has proven to be unforgettable, like the faceless woman in the painting who is the goodness of the old man’s memories. It’s somber, but there is joy and hope and loneliness, too.

I guess I complain too much. I suppose it brings other people down. I should probably hold my tongue and take it to the grave with me, instead of spreading it around.
\_('_')_/
Not really true. Complain to those who care what you're complaining about. Most people are not down because of your complaints; it's simply somewhat strange why you continuously advertise your existential dilemmas and always bring god into it as if desperately and deliberately seeking for a scapegoat. This is not new. In the bible there's a ritual for scape-goating.

This gives rise to the concept and manifestation of, refuge.
In terms of:
From what, for what, and how.
I have very little idea what any of that means.
Give it some time.
Refuge means a clarity shelter from the inevitable delusions that are required and supported by ego, which are necessary in the course of everyday life to protect awareness from the overwhelming immensity of the void … which is the window through which that old man in the painting gazes at you, the world.

I don't regret giving her help; if I did, I wouldn't say that I'd do the same thing over again. If she asks for more and I have the ability to help her out, I will. What you see is disappointment that, in the end, my efforts mean very little as far as I'm aware. The cosmos will do its own thing, and I will live with it whether I like it or not. I care about her and I hope the best for her. I wish she were a larger part of my life and I a larger part of hers. I don't think she's a devious plotting person, I think she's just not as interested in me as I am in her. That's understandable. I probably wouldn't be interested in me either if I were her. If love could move mountains then it would, but the only time mountains move is when there are earthquakes and usually a lot of casualties. Human emotions and feelings don't mean squat. I wish they did.

Great line and so true.

That's because humans themselves don't mean squat within the greater order of things. Why should it!

If she wasn't someone you want to have sex with would you be giving her all your money? FFS. Who are you kidding? A better line to use would be 'Can't buy me love....'

She excites me. So, no, I wouldn't be bending over backwards for her affection if she weren't attractive to me. However, very few women are attractive to me. I'm interested in romantic love. I'm not out to breed children or start a family. I'm not cut out for it, and the world is probably better off with me not doing that. I just want to be able to look forward to someone's company once in a while and have some fun with them.

Then it's hardly 'unconditional'. You really are a sitting duck.

Yes. That's all true.
I was never cut out for this world. Not sure why I was born into it. IC says that God doesn't make mistakes, I beg to differ. I was a mistake, I think.

If the truth be told, you could well be the happiest person on here. Most people don't like to display their misery, or believe that women exist to provide their 'happiness'.

Really? That's possible I suppose. Perhaps others don't vent their shortcomings and end up with repressed frustrations that eat them up inside, maybe? I mean, venting makes me feel more authentic and grounded with reality? That seems beneficial.
